Not sure why Otamendi would need to go if Sane is leaving. Our foreigners would be:

1 Ederson
2 Bravo
3 Cancelo
4 Laporte
5 Otamendi
6 Mendy
7 Zinchenko
8 Rodri
9 Fernandinho
10 Gundogan
11 Silva
12 Bernardo
13 De Bruyne
14 Mahrez
15 Aguero
16 Jesus
17 New CB
I actually don’t think we will go for a central defender though, with the addition of Cancelo, added to Rodri, that allows us Dinho to drop back or Kyle to play in a 3.

We may as well save the spot and see what we need in Jan.

"Sane has one foot out of City, he’s told the players he wants to go, and he has a huge offer that City simply cannot (well, will not) match. It’s about £360k per week! The only thing left is for Bayern to agree a fee with City, and City want “Dembele money”. And so they should. City are working on a CB but it’s not massively likely, as it would also need Otamendi to go (foreign quota). Danilo/Cancelo is nearly done, as you’ll have seen. Been told it could be finalised tonight (but announcement is at the mercy of the clubs)."
Cough up Bayern :-)

I'm not saying that the France Football article is true (they are reasonably reputable, but I'd be surprised if we'd accepted an offer of €110m after our briefing the other day), but to simply dismiss it because it was relayed via Twitter is absurd.

Ok maybe a dismissal of the whole platform was OTT but the vast majority of it is rubbish/speculation

I dismissed it because we briefed a £137m price, we then got Bild saying it was all done and he wouldn’t be playing yesterday, which obviously turned out to be bullshit and now another today saying it’s been agreed at just over £100m.

This one will turn out to be wrong too, and if not I’ll definitely come back on here saying how great France Football was all along..

Gutted if he leaves as his pace is a real threat as was shown on Sunday when Trent Arnold shit his pants. He only leaves hopefully if Bayern cough up at least £125m

I don't know where on earth people have got the idea from that Bayern will stump up £120m or so.

Until this summer the most they'd ever spent was £37m. I just cannot see them spending that on Sané. I mean, he's great and has huge potential, but it's potential which may or may not be realised and £125m (let alone £137m) is silly money. They'd be mad to blow that and they are not mad.

Massive risk to let him go this late on in the transfer window with no replacement.
Equal risk keeping him if he doesnt get what he wants and hangs around the dressing like a slapped arse till January.

I'll be gutted if he doesnt stay but not at the extent of the wider team harmony.

Pep knows best and will do what's right for the team no matter how painful it might be at first.

Nobody has the idea that Bayern will pay, it's what we have told them we want.

That's why Pep said the situation has changed a bit then, but still doesn't mean anything until Bayern can match City's valuation of Sane, so nothing changed much as Pep said really.

How much can you see them spending?

Starting to think this is a win win for us. He stays and we’ve got a very good player who could become great. He goes for anything over £125m and we’ve got some serious money to reinvest in areas that are much more needed than the wing.
My only issue is this being dragged out like it has.

the final price unfortunately is between what they think is a good price and 137m. If we get 100m pounds thats lucky. Imo e should accept anything loer than 120m in todays market.

I kinda like the Spanish model, as if we would like to get Sane now and he would be an Atletico, Bilbao etc player we would have to match the fixed buyout price and thats the start and end of the negotiating. No saga, no nothing, pay up the buyout clause or fuck off.

Like with Laporte and Rodri, we knew whats the price and e had no option to negotiate a cheaper deal.

Bayern are really desperate to sign Sane, they might agree to pay 120m on the last day of the window but I'm certain they won't agree to pay 137m and almost certain that they won't go above 125m. Basically, there won't be a deal unless we reduce the asking price.
