Sorry, occupied by the game and family life.

Okay, well if you're THAT determined to try lengthen out this 'discussion' to a tedious conclusion then we can do that.
There is nothing tedious about knowing why things may or may not work. Wishing things into existence like you like doing, is the stuff of childish petulance

with the first falsehood you told, you guys DO have the system, it's just in place for the senior community and why it's looking to expand as a roll out to the younger parts of the demographics.
Dude, we don't have "Medicare for All". We have a type of coverage for 65 and older. It covers certain things and not others. Private insurance is allowed as an addition. Some MFA proposals ban private insurance. So, no. We don't have the system. Not even close.

And yes, 'Medicare-for All' IS a soundbite. If you want to get through to a set of people you deliver a message short and sweet as a hook they'll understand.
Yes. That's the politics. I on the other hand care about the reality once the song and dance is done.
We can discuss the 2003 HR 676 under Whitfield and its 'adjacent, but-one-step-removed' 2017 Sanders bill HR 1804/ S 1129 and why it's taken so long to get to this point.
Im excited. I reckon we should start a separate thread. Not clog up Trumpistan.
I'm not talking about neoliberalists Booker's, Harris' OR O'Rourke's stupid proposals.

Even Hr 1804 has its problems with the roll out time and implementation, but that's because people like yourself think health isn't a Human Right and so it has to be implemented slowly, but surely 'slowly slowly catchy monkey' totlldl
Don't worry about what I think. I'll handle that. Just handle explaining away the likely hiccups.
I can and will 'get into the weeds' with you as I actually have interest in American politics and I have had a copy of Sen. Sanders HR 1804 bill on my PC since 2017.

*I will note, however, the S.1129 only has an amendment to cover the current immigrant situation ( I haven't read all of it and i'm going to have to reacquaint myself with the 2017 bill as well as cover the new amendments.

I'm happy to respond if you want to dig deep, but I will have to do it around a work and family schedule.

Okay?
Sounds fantastic. Wouldn't want it any other way.

Do you know what?

I was skimming through your MFA points, the other day and I had a quick read again, just now. I realised one of your suggestions was Jayapal's HR 1384 bill which, in fact is more progressive than HR 1804 OR S 1129.

In fact, I'd line it closer to HR 646 which, again, is more in line with our NHS.

So, in the long run, I'm a little annoyed that I didn't absorb more of Pramila Jayapal's bill when it came out.

It may be that Sanders' is proposing a bill LESS 'socialist' for the public and eventually move over to Jayapal's paper. Who knows?

But, I digress...

I'm going to peruse a copy of HR 1384 this week and I'll compare to S 1129.

In the meantime, you think of your 'anti-commie' questions and have them ready to aim at me.

Can we have US opinion sub forum as the next sub forum so I can ignore half the shite spouted form over the pond.
;-)

And yes medicare for all is doable so why not do it?

And they claim cricket and roundabouts are hard to understand. American politics is so weird.

You’re ignoring the cost containment in HR1384 (Jayapal) and S1129. Personally I’d lower the standard directive found in JSP 398.

That does seem to be the consensus, certainly amongst those in the know. I’m coming around to that view myself. I think I got caught up in all the hype surrounding JR 3956. Feel a trifle embarrassed now.

In all seriousness, Rogan interviews Sanders.

Note how Sanders dismisses your point on Medicare, @Dax777.

I've finished work early today, so will start to absorb info I've missed on the bills we've talked about.

What point of mine did he dismiss?

@16:00 Bernie confesses. I can't do what I promise because I need people coming with me

I think I understand what you were speaking about, but it was how do you say...

"All ass backwards?"!

I said you had the system for MFA, but needed to expand it to reach younger age ranges and you said MFA doesn't exist to do so!

I think you meant LITERALLY it doesn't exist in the proposed form rather than Medicare, itself.

A bizarre reasoning.
