When Mendy did his knee he stayed on the pitch for a while and then left the ground without a leg brace, same with Jesus.Yep let’s hope the UK stuff has just been picked up from Bild. Whenever there’s any doubt about a knee injury the knee is immobilised in one of those boot things like KDB had. Amazed if they missed that.

I haven't read it myself but apparently on a Q+A on the Athletic he said he'd heard it was "quite bad". He hasn't said anything on twitter yet, so I'd guess he's either doing it as a story for tomorrow, or he's not confident of it.
But Jack's pretty good for City stuff, seems to get these kind of little stories out of the club - injuries, contract talks happening, team selections etc. - correct at a good rate.

Fair enuf. Agree you wouldnt expect them just to re-print crap from Germany. But what does "quite bad" mean? If he (say) misses a month, that's prob only 3 games.
But a shame cos in the 13 minutes he played, he looked very handy and likely to give TAA a nightmarish afternoon (as he has on a few occasions in the past).

I wonder what will happen now,,i think he might stay here where he knows everyone and that will get the best treatment,would bayern fork out 135m if he is out for months,knees are difficult to get over,he might not have them after burners after,i think we might have all this drama again next summer
Depends if Leroy signs a new contract, if he does there's no drama, if he doesn't then he's off next Summer. Can't see him moving before then tbh.

This invites the question - what sources? Club or German? Why doesn't he say which? I think the latter.I don't think Sam Lee or Jack Gaughan need to copy from Bild.

did you watch many of our games over the last couple of years?i thought at the time I'd take 3 months out-I stand by that-it looked bad. Huge blow. Raheem is no where near the same player on the left. Let's hope Mendy can get himself fit to give us the balance that we'd otherwise miss.

This is not a widely held view you know ;)every one-raheem not nearly as effective as sane on the left. Narrows our attacks too much.
There are numerous examples to back up my assertion. Take the first 14 mins of the community shield and see how much more effective we were with Sane going outside rather than raheem stopping and cutting in.This is not a widely held view you know,

Leroy Sané might have damaged his ACL. He is set to have tests tomorrow to assess the damage, but he could be out for four months or even longer. [@TheAthleticUK]
