Does he realise the republicans won the last election and trump is the president? I realise the balance of power in the house is different now, but this is broadly the equivalent of corbyn tweeting as if he's in charge of UK trade. Just the usual people who like to oppose trump opposing trump. I doubt they know where the Irish border is.
No it isn’t. The House has to agree trade deals. A trade deal is more up to him than Trump.

Isn't it nice that we'll get to sort this project fear question out in a little over 9 weeks?

I don’t think 9 weeks will sort anything out. Plus in the context of the post I’m replying to we are at crossed purposes. If you had to buy a car today as an emergency would you walk into the showroom and tell the salesman your situation or would act like you could take it or leave it?

It’s basically what certain remainers have been doing for 3 years. I’ve said it before remainers have done the EU’s job for them. Some on purpose some out of stupidity and fear.

I'd missed the latest yougov poll. They had a complicated question that suggested people might put keeping out Corbyn above stopping a no deal brexit, but by 54 to 27 people said a deal that kept us in the SM and CU was either good or an acceptable compromise, and by 47 to 21 so would be a second referendum that resulted in a Remain vote.

I'm definitely Bob fucking Geldof-phobic and I'm proud of it.
Funny you should say that...

He was after all a remain advocate

The EU aren't a car salesman mate, they're well aware of the UK's situation.

I think everyone is aware of the situation not only do we like telling everyone we like to really ram home the point.

What utter nonsense having Boris the bastard writing letters saying we will leave and then the news has total coverage of panic and politicians claiming they will do everything in their power to stop him. Fuck me what a laughable farce.

Every country is the same. You think we don't have dissenting voices criticising Varadkar, Martin and Coveney here? The difference is that 90% of the country are behind them to enough of a degree that the dissenting voices are pissing into the wind. The UK is heavily and near evenly divided on this issue and hence it weakens its position. The EU knows that, without any public comment being necessary.

Far from that tbf. They've actually invested in this country rather than trying to use it as an indentured bread basket.
Well your economy threatened to bring a collapse to the whole system they had, so no wonder.

Good job the GFA isn’t at risk and there is zero chance of a hard border.

Rest easy Chuck.

I'm sure he is resting easy. This move will appeal to his base, appeal to the Irish American lobby and he gets to beat up on Trump whilst occupying the moral high ground. For Chuck and Nancy this is Christmas come early.

It also means Brexit becomes a football to kick around in American politics and that is bad news for the UK. Far better to remain above the fray of American domestic politics.

The only way they'll be kicking the football will be on how pro Irish a position they can take. There's enough Irish American votes to deliver both houses and the presidency to one party if they feel betrayed by the other, even before the American pride in the GFA enters the equation. Very bad news for the UK.

Yeah because the current U.K. predicament is an absolute fucking mystery to the EU. I’ll try not to tip them off.
