Parliament has “remained sovereign throughout our membership to the EU” - Brexit White Paper

But let's pretend you are right and that document is wrong. What can't you do that you would like to be able to do this this new found sovereignty?
Suspend parliament?

As far as I remember you come from Moss Side and have children.

You should be ashamed of yourself ballooning about fucking “King Boris”.

One day you will have to look those children in the eye and explain why you took away their freedom of movement and trashed the growing economy they need to build a life.

It's exactly where I once grew up (not that it should define anybody) that I have complete empathy for communities that were left behind long ago, and have certainly seen little benefit of being in Europe.

As for my own children, they will be just fine. They will contribute to society in their way and if they want to spread their wings one day, they still will.

No, because my answer is C, which I why I gave that answer in the first place. NI can choose whatever and whoever it wants to be a part of, with no complaints from me. Rejoin Ireland? Cool. Remain with Britain? Cool. Out of respect of the people of NI, I don't consider it to "belong" to either "territory", not without consent.

If you're angry about the Government's attitude towards NI, take it up with them; I don't agree with their stance. I still have no idea why you responded to this, if that's the case.
I don't agree with their stance either, not that I get a say in it. But the people of the UK did get a say in it and as Alex has outlined, you put the cart before the horse.
The majority of people on mainland Britain don't know enough about and couldn't care less about NI but you voted on something that greatly affects this part of the UK and it should have been considered first.

I don't care if you leave the EU. You voted to. You should. But it has always been my stance that if that's what you wanted then you had internationally binding agreements with Us & NI that should have been discussed first.

This wasn't thought through and anyone on here that claims it was and they knew the constitutional implications for NI and Us is being a tad dishonest with themselves.

Plan , plan? Give over all this shit is made up as we go along. Nobody on any side has any plan or clue.

Another day more bollox

Yesterday all the remainers were the giddy ones plotting

Today it’s the leavers

Tomorrow who knows

It’s a fucking joke.
Nary truer words spoken.

I'm sure you respect the views of the other regions as well though?
Do things in order then.
Can't have it both ways although it seems you could end up with it that way. You either voted as the UK as a whole or you want to bring it down to your internal regions of the union.
If you take it that you voted out as a whole then you had business in NI that needed taking care of first.

So the Order says Parliament will be prorogued 9th Sept at the earliest or 14th at the latest. Who chooses that?

Under the Fixed Term Parliaments Act there could be a vote of no confidence before prorogation and the 14 days limit to get a vote of confidence would fall during prorogation.

I can't see anything in the Act to say that the time limit would not apply during prorogation so on the face of it, if Parliament can't pass a vote of confidence because it's prorogued, there would then have to be a general election.

M'learned friends may know different ...
The beeb had a constitutional expert on earlier who confirmed that.

Just listening to the good folk of Maesteg on 5Live - they all voted Leave - they are all adamant life in the valleys was better before we joined the EEC ( Yep really ) and want out asap as the EU does nothing for them.

This week the town hall in Maesteg receives £3.2m in EU funding................you can't make this shit up - but they are Leavers so not thick.

This is so true and yet if/when the sh1t hits the fan it will be the good people of Ireland, both North and South, that will have to pick up the pieces and that will not be fair on either. I have met many Irish people in my life and found them to be some of the loveliest people you can imagine. They were totally disregarded in the referendum.

If they're allowed a visa. And can afford it.

The good thing about all this is it should put a stop to these weird centre left millennials and the endless memes that portray Queen Elizabeth II and the royal family as some sort of influential progressive icons.
