Ex Liverpool player Dean Saunders let off on appeal P31

It was fairly inevitable he would get bail otherwise it would make a mockery of the appeals process. It doesn't say anything about the prospects of successfully appealing.
The sentence was within the guidelines based on a wilful refusal and evidence of severe impairment. He didn't do the chances of having it suspended much good by his guilty plea at the last minute either.

If he does get the 10 weeks he would only do 5 weeks max and probably less if he got tagged.

He must have really pissedoff the judge thouggh. Didn't see any mention of previous convictions so amazed he got time. Plenty of other footballers and am sure others on here have be done for drink driving and just get a ban and a fine for first offence. Admit that I've done it before - suppose just lucky I didn't get caught

He is a rubbish pundit though. Would have been interesting if this had happened around Manchester ad he ended up in Strangeways. Am sure he would have got a proper Manc welcome. Have done a bit of time there myself - would have liked the tosser as a padmate, Would have been easy to wind him up and could have sold my "story" to the papers after getting out!!
 
The rest of the prisoners were singing "We predict a Riot" after one day they had had enough of his anecdotes.

I ask because a dark coloured Audi 8 came out of the small cul de sac where he lives this morning driven by a man whose face was partially obscured. Might have been a different house, a different car and a different man but the part hidden face just seemed strange although the driver might have been picking his nose.

I’ve no idea to be honest last time I saw him in there about 4 weeks ago, he was with some youngish bird (late 30’s)

Going off what the judge said it seems he got time for being an arrogant prick.
