How would you leave the United Kingdom if I were you I wouldn't bother using the referendum method it just doesn't seem to mean anything.
From my limited understanding it is a) they don’t want it to be on his terms, if he’s struggling let him struggle seems to the way but also b) they don’t want to say yes to an election on (let’s say) the 14th of October then half way through the campaign he just move the date to sometime past the EU exit date, leaving Labour stood there holding their collective todgers(an under used word, I think you’ll agree)
Yet as @Mëtal Bikër shows not all of that democratic vote was for a right wing Brexit. No reason if you don't mind ignoring your electorate and a democratic vote, which may or may not bite them on the arse come the general election next month.
having witnessed Mogg's behaviour earlier, anyone not standing up and calling him a "right dishonourable ****" is being too kind to him.
I doubt he can tbh, the EU isn't the UK, national leaders are there as representatives of parliament. It was mentioned earlier today that he could veto his request of an extension in a vote of the EU28 at the European summit. Apparently it requires all 28 to be in agreement for the extension to be granted.
Nah. He wouldn't, would he ?
slouched on the benches arms folded and face like a smacked arse? proper respectful eh?
I agree his sarcasm and metaphors were singularly inappropriate, they detracted from the unanswerable case he made against the partisan conduct of the Speaker. Lucas now ripping into him for his current relaxed posture across two seats being contemptuous of the house. Speaker silent and grinning.having witnessed Mogg's behaviour earlier, anyone not standing up and calling him a "right dishonourable ****" is being too kind to him.
Alleged. You have plenty of competent lawyers in the UK P.The drafting of the rebel bill is now alleged to have been assisted by EU lawyers - good grief
you've been spending too much time in the company of GDM ;)Jacob Rees Mogg is a disrespectful motherfucker.
Depends how much money they’re making out of it allWhere is cameron and george? sat in a deck chair laughing their arses off or in parliment doing their bit
Jacob Rees Mogg is a disrespectful motherfucker.
She's just jealous.Lucas now ripping into him for his current relaxed posture across two seats
If there is one MP who represents everything that is wrong with the Lib Dems it is Tom Brake
Henceforth known as Sloucher Mogg - at least he wasn't asleep like most of them usually are in a late sitting. She's just jealous.
It will be pretty much a one horse race in Scotland. The Tories are dead in the water and Labour not much better. I think SNP may get a clean sweep. I still think it would be closer under a referendum. Please god that Indy 2 is carried out thoughtfully and factually. If Brexit is difficult to achieve, decoupling Scotland and England will not be a great deal easier. Currency, who acts as Central Bank, rejoining the EU if we have left, etc etc etc. Its not a shoe in but Westminster politics have shifted even crusty old Unionists like me to at least have a very open mind.I know what you mean, but unless someone has a better idea we are stuck with it.
Maybe if an election is called and we decide the outcome will determine whether we have Indy could be the only topic. If we received over 50% of the vote we win. People know that for voting Yes parties, they are voting for Indy. We total up the votes received by unionist parties and Indy parties and it’s all done on the one day.
If there is an election the outcome of the vote will tell us if Indy is a goer.
