The only thing I miss from back in the day . People didn’t mix their race. I love humans but I believe white should be with white and black with black. I’m afraid we are all going to look alike in the near future. There won’t be diversity if we continue. I love going to a Asian community and learning about their culture. White community and learning from them. Blacks learning interesting things.

The whole damn country is overrun by unicorns. They shit all over the place, cause traffic jams when they stroll up major high streets and try to hump your dog when you take him for a walk. I can't see comments (even on youtube). What's the point? Half of those pictures you could take today and they'd look much the same. The buses might be gone thanks to Tory austerity and nationalised transport is no more thanks to the Tories but it's not exactly a lost world. Oh look - they've filled in a pub doorway, badly...

I will repeat, what if a party promised in its manifesto to get rid of the army, the day after an election war broke out, there is no way it could stick to its manifesto.

Those comments would be brilliant if it was a parody channel but, of course, it’s not.

I prefer to compare them to those sample menus that restaurants often show on their websites. They give you an indication of what might be on the actual menu. If you turned up and found that nothing from the sample menu was on the actual menu you might be a bit miffed, but as long as it was similar food then you couldn’t really complain. If you turned up expecting Chinese food and only got burgers you would be justifiably cross. But the restaurant would be entitled to leave off the lobster if there was a shortage and prices had rocketed. Similarly if they’d got a good deal on crab, they could add that to the menu.

How about a bit of reality from the 50s instead of "idyllic" hand-picked photos?

I was born in 1954 and the 50s and early 60s for me consisted of living in damp-riddled rental properties in Lower Broughton and Hyde. As a consequence I've been asthmatic ever since, still on the repeat medication now. Fuck the 50s, I never want to see those days back again.
