That the majority of English voters wish to remain

And your source always seems to be dubious polls and your monitoring of the demographics of death stats
It's every opinion poll for over a year.

There is one sure way to find out, but you're against another referendum.

Yeah, I must've missed that one. Although they're axing jobs worldwide, it looks like Sunderland might escape any job cuts:

https://www.theguardian.com/busines...-to-axe-12500-jobs-worldwide-carmaker-reveals
It's always the car industry that's mentioned on here whenever remainers discuss the economy and Brexit,
an industry currently struggling badly worldwide, the German car industry, their powerhouse, is amongst those struggling.
The reasons are the collapse of diesel sales, a factor that has had an unforeseen rapid effect on an industry that's
been heavily involved in the manufacture of such vehicles, and the need to re tool and develop electric powered cars.
Nissan hasn't avoided these issues, but Sunderland shouldn't be affected too badly, and Nissan are not 'Packing up
and going elsewhere in Europe,' that's claptrap.

Very surprised this hasn't been getting more coverage in this thread. Or maybe not. The Prime Minister, the person leading the charge to take us out without a deal, doesn't actually understand the situation we're in. Fantastic.
The Leavers don't care.

Nope - I have my description of you and your comments there just reinforce it

Guess what mate?

I couldn’t give a rats ass what you think of me.

I’ll have meaningful conversations with leave voters who aren’t completely and utterly deluded.

Pinko Tory lol and I've been attending City home and away since 1957. Do remind me what I said 6 years ago as you are obviously an avid student of my posting history - it's open for inspection https://forums.bluemoon-mcfc.co.uk/search/60732598/ and beyond. I can't remember disowning the club at any time since I joined BM 10 years ago but I was miffed about Mancini being sacked. Please let me know, I'm fascinated to find out what I said.
Hi George.
You are obviously a City fan.
Apologies for implying you're not.
I'd had a couple ( or six) whiskeys last night.

The Leavers don't care.

But why? If I believed in something, and wanted to see it enacted, I would feel a lot more comfortable knowing the man in charge knew what he was talking about. Does it not raise any concern with leavers at all? At least give pause about the 'threat of no deal' negotiating strategy?

It was hardly a thumping majority was it with leave getting a million more extra votes than remain. I would imagine them numpties up in the North East who swayed the vote and fell for the bus headlines, who now have the car industries packing up and going elsewhere in Europe would think again.

Can anyone actually give me a benefit of leaving the EU on the off chance I might vote leave if we get another chance at voting? Also please explain to us all my you were hoodwinked by someone who doesn’t believe in Brexit but thought doing it might look good for his cv and didn’t want to win the referendum anyway?

Oh there are several. Removal of freedom of movement, removal of restrictions on state aid for failing businesses, the saving that will come from not contributing to the EU’s budget, departure from the common fisheries policy.

The problem with that is that these benefits, both individually and collectively, are dwarfed by the benefits of remaining. Removing freedom of movement from EU citizens removes our freedom of movement within the EU 27, and does not mean that net migration will fall - we simply will admit more necessary workers from non EU countries. Quite apart from the point that we could have implemented greater controls on immigration within the EU in any event. Likewise, there are ways in which state aid for failing businesses can be provided (where there is the political will to do so) that we have not deployed. If we leave, we can catch all the fish we want, though given we sell most of our catch to the EU27 there will be little point in catching it if it spoils in transit to Europe because of delays at the border.

Fundamentally, however, frictionless trade with the EU27 adds significantly to our GDP. The benefits we would gain on leaving are in reality the price we pay for the UK’s GDP being substantially greater than it otherwise would be. There is an overwhelming case in economic terms for remaining within the single market, whether or not we remain a member of the EU28. Like everything else, it calls for an assessment of benefits and drawbacks, and in economic terms the benefits of membership vastly outweigh the drawbacks.

Oh, and don’t believe anybody who blathers on about regaining sovereignty. They are spouting shite about things they don’t understand.

Can you please link what must be very many polls that clearly display that a significant majority of English voters wish to Remain

Remember - to use your words - every poll for over a year

Yep you are - and your capable to delude yourself is becoming very evident

"If only we had a leave voting PM who could offer an alternative... oh wait....."

What kind of daft comment is that - we had May - controlled by Robbins and Hammond putting the WA together - since we have a Leave committed WA it is not even being taken out of the bin until the Backstop goes.

You should try breathing - better still thinking - before jumping in

We’ve got a leave PM now you half wit, and guess what? He’s got fucking nowhere, as David Davis did, as Dominic Raab did.

Guess what mate?

Pleased that your wife still has time for you;-)

So stop replying to my posts then

Every time we have 'words' it is because you reply in an aggressive and argumentative manner to one or more of my posts.

It is clearly a modus operandi for you and notable others to do this routine of causing arguments by being insulting and abusive

Then running for cover and blaming those that you provoked.

So - just stop fucking replying to my posts in such an argumentative manner - or if you must keep doing it - stop denying that is what you are doing.

Got to say - the topic of Brexit has caused some extreme posting and views on here

But you calling into question whether a CITY fan is actually a CITY fan is probably a new low - frankly you should apologise IMO
Not everyone can be an uber City fan like you. I mean, it must take a lot of effort to always write the word City in capitals.

But why? If I believed in something, and wanted to see it enacted, I would feel a lot more comfortable knowing the man in charge knew what he was talking about. Does it not raise any concern with leavers at all? At least give pause about the 'threat of no deal' negotiating strategy?
You seem to be in a position that just because a poster with a strong anti-Leave view makes a flippant and clearly silly comment to demean Leavers - that it is true.

Yep, that’s exactly what they do.

Bless did you report it and not get it removed or him banned?

Tut tut someone is slacking.
Nope not me.
It did get removed though.
I'm guessing you didn't see it or maybe you thought it was fine to joke about a poster's relative's serious medical condition.
