Whilst it can be conceived of as a stupid post, I've been told numerous times that racism is racism if the receiving party takes offence, irrespective of whether offence was intended. Surely then, the converse applies...if the post is actually 'liked' by the recipient, it's hardly racist.

It certainly is about being a better person as far as I'm concerned. I'm not going to let the opportunity for taking third party proxy offence pass me by. Except Bernardo posted it on twitter to millions of people, including many black people who don’t know him as well as mendy to know if it was a joke.

I don't agree with you but I don't want others to think I am a racist so I have decided it is best if I do indeed agree with you but I retain the right to change my mind if someone else says it isn't racist to think the tweet is alright. Oh and some will say I should have put a full stop in that sentence but I didn't because I believe a black dot has racist overtones.

People wouldn’t have things to be upset or offended by if others didn’t post silly things. I’m not either of those things I just didn’t think it was right.

I don't understand your problem - I've already taken huge offence on behalf of an entire race and made it quite clear that anyone who doest follow suit is wrong / racist. Why on earth you still persist in trying to have an opinion that is not the same as mine is beyond me. If it was a white person being compared to a white cartoon character everybody would be laughing. Similarly if it was a black person posting that about mendy it would be laughed off. There has to be a line where it goes into the realms of racism but there also has to be context behind it.
