Someone needs to kick out....kick it out. Like the rest of the PC left wing snowflake nonsense it makes the very problem it claims to be combating worse.
Some might say thats the idea. After all its in the financial interests of many that racism is either alive and well or failing that make us all believe it is alive and well.
Bernado should tell them to go and fuck themselves. Having said that daft to put it in social media. Infact social media needs to be cast into the fiery pit alongside kick it out and their like.
He comes from Portugal. Other countries have more freedom of speech. It's enough to stop players wanting to come here. Was a really uneducated decision. I get that he didn't necessarily mean harm, but we all can cause harm without intending.
The posting "Why I can't joke with a friend" is also a sign of this. I'd rather him have been apologetic than try to defend himself, because an educated person regarding blackface and racial stereotypes would either think twice about doing it not to cause offence, or far better not want to contribute to racist stereotypes in this way not simply to avoid looking bad to the public but because you care.
That comes from learning so I can get why he made a mistake. Sadly when it comes to race, when many make mistakes we go on the defence.
That being said, I don't think banning him for 6 games is the solution as goes the so-called expectation of the FA about "racial abuse."
I also don't think he should be "brainwashed" as I think some fear with the term "educated" as there should be room for dialogue. That's a healthier way to address this than force him to agree or ban him.
Is there really. My recollection years ago was the Black and White Minstrel Show. Normal people at the time didn't think it was demeaning it was just entertainment. Incidentally when I was a boy we had a black cat called ******. It wasn't unusual in those days. How do you like that. There's a long, awful tragic history associated with blackface mate. It has been used to demean an entire group of people to be seen as lesser than human and we still face similar problems with monkey chants and other similar events in sport, so how is this not still a problem rather than being "PC?"

Or maybe he will be "stone rosed" by you. ;)Has little Bernie been stoned to death in Liverpool city centre yet?
You think the (over-reactive) calls for action to be taken against him are ok? Nothing to argue with? What about him "being educated"? Is that all appropriate? What snowflakes? What PC Mob? There was no huge outcry.
The post was taken down by Bernardo or one of his media team.
The only people over reacting on here are those offended at the thought that people might be offended.
Not exactly been a successful deterrent, has it?
What's your point here? Just seems like you're trying to provoke a reaction.
Events such as these always prompt plenty of users to expose their leanings and usually take an aggressively defensive stance. The upside is that it reminds me to not go on the Off Topic forum.
If you can't express your opinion without resorting to infantile name calling and talking in extremes, you'll look like an ignorant dickhead. On top of that, I'm pretty sure Bernardo would be embarrassed to have people like that defending him.
