The Conservative Party

It's the remoaners cheerleader Marr making our Churchillian leader look a fool!

We need an unbiased interviewer such as lovely Laura to show our supreme rulers true magnificence.

I thought he handled the interview very well. He got his position across despite the constant interruptions from Marr and manage to even crack a smile here and there, which is something his predecessor didn't have in her locker.

The lefties on here are clearly in absolute panic mode looking at the polls. I get it.

Crispin opey
John redwood
Rees mogg

All profiteering from brexit amongst other tory donors and johnson backers

And?

Your point is what?

I might benefit from it but I've passionately backed Remain for 3 years. Now I'm thinking we just need to get on with it, Is my view invalid because I might gain in the short term?

Should people on low pay stop supporting Labour because they might benefit from it? Should Corbyn stop espousing policies that might benefit the less well off because he's mates with people who are less well off?

12 points ahead in the latest poll I’ve seen ;)

My point is you said people would not purposely trash oir econimy for profit, wel I think as long as they make a profit they couldn't give two fucks if the economy crashes and us peasants suffer.

Marr really is dreadful.

He is.

None of Marr's questions hit home and he refused to go off script, so when Johnson lied his way out of every question, instead of using the lies to unsettle him, Marr just ploughed on, and Johnson just swerved and deflected and obfuscated and told outrageous porkies with impunity, so at the end the fat fool emerged unscathed.

If you're a Johnson fanatic, you'll be well pleased.

Marr was poor, as usual.

Johnson did well.

He did himself no harm.

Not sure it matters. Opinion on Johnson is baked in. Like Trump those who vote for Johnson know he is corrupt, a liar and prone to casually groping women. That he is purposely going for a divide and rule strategy will also not be a concern.

Saying that I think the Acuri saga will do some damage as more comes out. That can hurt him. And if Brexit ‘isn’t done’ and we are still in the EU after 31st Oct how that changes the dynamic is anyone’s guess.

The polls are split into two consistent groups now. Those showing a good Tory lead and those showing it within the margin of error. Two groups using different weighting and methodology. Again no one will know who has got it right until it is tested in an actual election.

All to play for and I’m feeling bullish :)

Yes he did ok.
He managed to not answer a single question and repeatedly made contradictory assertions without being adequately challenged.
For Johnson fans he was fine. For people viewing it dispassionately, it was absolute bollocks.

It is a fact that Labour swims in a much larger group of potential voters than the Tories and that is true even in normal times and these are not normal times.

You're right, views on Johnson are baked in, he knows this, that's why he's making fantastical spending promises to broaden his base, he knows that if he doesn't he's screwed.

The one thing I do know, if any Labour leader, not just Corbyn, had indulged in half the shit Johnson has pulled off he'd be crucified, the fact the fat fool is still standing is a terrible testimony to the state of this country.

I agree they need to get Eddy Mair back he he is the only one who asks any question. He absolutely wiped the floor with Johnson and left him a quivering mess last time he interviewed him standing on for Marr.
