Honestly I can't be arsed responding to all of that - it would take hours. There may be an atom of truth buried in there somewhere if I looked hard enough, but in the main, it's utter, utter bollocks. I find it quite astonishing that so many of you don't have so much as a chip on your shoulders as and entire fucking chip shop, no, a potato farm.
Fuck - that suggests that you read it

Too much time on your hands I would suggest

So the odds on VoC due next week couldn't have happened before Parliament was prorogued? The delay was purely motivated by a Labour cabal tactic to cause further chaos and polarization by strengthening Farage. They know they are going to lose heavily whenever a GE happens but will get a future advantage in the constititional changes left behind after involving the courts.
'Labour cabal tactic to cause further chaos'. You really are drinking the cool aid aren't you george.

Presumption of innocence is a given, but if the investigation shows wrongdoing it should be a huge problem for him regardless of the position he holds, if that isn't the reality then you're truly a basket case of a country.
I repeat, it would be only if found guilty in a criminal trial, the outcome of the current investigation is simply a stage in that process to establish if there are even questions to answer. I also see now your original prediction was for the future of the UK. Not unusual from a citizen of such a steadfast friend and partner but for a moment there I thought you might be mistaking me for a supporter of BoJo or Jezzer.

What's in the public domain looks pretty damning so far mate.

Only tea - the Benn Act became law before the motion for a GE was defeated. The opposition's refusal to allow the electorate to decide the issue is straight from their Lenin textbook - chaos and anarchy are the seedbed of revolution etc etc etc

The Benn act became law but if parliament was suspended for a GE it would be possible for Johnson to refuse to send a request for an extension without being replaced by an interim PM and forcing the UK to crash out against the sovereign body's will. If he wants a GE he should sort the extension, something he could easily undo with a majority in the HOC.

I've finally come to the conclusion that using things like logic and reason with George is something of a waste of time. He's still seeing reds under his bed.

Extension was sorted in 24 hours last time bud, the only thing stopping it happening in the next week is Johnson being unwilling to request one. If he won a majority he could always cancel the extension, why doesn't he request it?
Only because he'd be incommoded at the bottom of a figurative ditch - this delay is solely designed to show him as not delivering Brexit by Oct 31 - it's all about strangling his battlecry.

I truly have no idea what you are talking about in fairness.
I guess that's as good a way of avoiding a straightforward question as any other. Would you like me to explain (what you already know) so I can put you on the spot a bit more? I'm guessing not.

He could have delivered the extension when the Benn act passed and had an election on the 17th October so that's a fairly flimsy excuse.

It’s not all about it at all, as you’ve been told.

It definitely is a factor but it’s mainly to stop the **** pushing through no deal.

A small factual detail you seem to have overlooked, the Benn Act doesn't come into force until October 19th and a minimum of 25 days has to elapse after that before a GE.

What a pointless series of exchanges this is. EVERYONE on here knows full well that the two reasons Corbyn wouldn't call a GE are (a) because he wants to inflict as much political damage on Johnson as possible, and (b) because he thinks he'd probably lose if there are a GE right know.

All this bullshit about needing to be absolutely sure Johnson doesn't use it to get us out with no deal by the backdoor, is utter crap and we all know that. It would have been perfectly possible several weeks ago to have passed legislation setting the GE date well before October 31st. This opportunity was passed by for the reasons above. End of.

And quite honestly, this faux outrage at Johnson's every action, every utterance, apart from being pretty unedifying, is rather boring. And in case you hadn't noticed, it's not working either.

With respect, what I've been told and the frequency I've been told it, is irrelevant if it's incorrect. I repeat, the refusal of the opposition to meet its constitutional obligations after the Benn Act received Royal Assent was not about stopping No Deal but simply a tactic to destabilize democratic processes and degrade political debate through encouraging extremists like Farage.

100% correct. The more honest on here on the left have even admitted it. It's a perfectly valid tactic by Corbyn and I'd probably advocate the Tories doing the same if the roles were reversed. But let's not kid ourselves it's a position Labour are taking for anything other than poiictical expediency. No-one's fooled by it.

It’s not incorrect at all, it’s the truth and you refuse to believe it because it doesn’t suit your political preference of being a right wing leave voter.

Aguero93:20 has pointed out to you that a GE will give Johnson a window to force through no deal, with parliament not being able to do anything further.

It’s true that once Oct 31st is gone, both Johnson’s popularity and no deal will be dead and that’s the double whammy for the opposition.

Johnson has destabilised the democratic processes, not the opposition, with his suspending parliament and willingness to use the Head of State as a political pawn and willingness to push through no deal without a mandate, by using a GE.
