I’m not convinced that your description of yourself as a ‘proper middle ground’ person and phrases such as ‘Remainer wankfest’, EU sycophants’ and ‘surrender bills’ are entirely compatible.
Oh they certainly are

Labour born and bred - Eccles and Lower Broughton.

That background also taught me how to spot frauds - there is a lot of that in the Remainer positions - and speak my mind.

Just why the fuck would being a determined Leave supporter be incompatible with holding political centrist views?

Just more claptrap - and a pretty poor effort at that.

Do you realise how offensive many of us find it when you weaponise the death of an MP to prop up your rather shakey argument? I'm assuming you genuinely don't realise btw.
The conversation I am referring too in the HoC was about violent threats towards female MPs due to the language being used. I am not weaponising or threatening anybody, and I do see a link, as do the police, between this language and these threats. Look at the language that was used by the guy who killed Jo Cox, it was this very same language. I couldn't give a shite if you find me asking a question about this offensive.

Arguments about provocative language;
reports of Boris throwing his Johnson up some Yank;
meaningless claims about spending on police, hospitals, schools etc;
all detracting from the fact that;
the Tory government can't put together a reasonable proposal to present to the EU;
there are no serious negotiations taking place
and the UK will crash out at the end of the month because of incompetence
which the polished turds of the ERG will claim is a victory.

What a shambles the UK has become.

I can’t agree with you. Johnson’s behaviour is unprecedented and unique for a PM. I suspect the outrage is honestly felt. It certainly is personally. I no longer have confidence that there is a majority of people in England that can see Johnson’s behaviour for what it is and I think he has a reasonable chance of getting a majority in any near future election. If he does you will get your Brexit. What state the U.K. will be in by then is an altogether different question.
Good post

It is right and proper to hold different views - I respect your right to hold yours....

The 2nd part of your post - from "I no longer have confidence......" is really interesting for me.

I can see why there is concern for you - but for me therein is the hope - as I see it - for the UK’s future prosperity.

We won’t crash out at the end of the month

There is hope for the UK's prosperity whatever the outcome, we just need an outcome and to start working together on it.

It was the labour MPs who brought it up not Johnson. He responded. They used her sad death as a weapon.

This was after being stood on his feet for a couple of hours getting abused over and over again called name after name by labour and snp MPs

The mad lefties have got effigies of Tory’s hung from a bridge over the Irwell today. Last week a rapper at the mercury music awards held Johnson’s decapitated head up on the stage.

It’s funny but when the Tories have their conference all and sundry lefties protest and call them names and have signs outside and hurl general abuse at them.

Funny when labour have their conferences those considered more right wing don’t camp outside and protest and hurl abuse at them.

You are quite correct about the UK being a shambles, but so is the EU.

I do not for one minute think we will leave on Oct 31st, infact I personally doubt we will leave at all.

However I think that if we did crash out or even leave with a deal that was anything other than a leave in name only it will accelerate the inevitable catastophic end to the EU. They would have effectively chucked us out upon the result of the referendum were that not the case. Putting bluntly the EU are shitting it hence will do everything they can to delay and hope we have another vote that comes out in favour of staying.

Should it happen without a deal I think it will hit Europe much much harder than it hits us.

The EU is unworkable and doomed to failure and Brexit has only served as a distraction from facing that reality.

Then the question is, if he succeeds in rounding up those people to vote for him, what are we left with, if he wins ?

He will have coralled all of those who shout 'traitor' & want to kick off, all of those who wanted Brexit for unethical reasons, & including the extreme far right, under one banner whilst alienating some of the less extreme Brexit voters.

In order to get elected, he then needs enough people to stand with those types & ignore the fact they are doing so.

But if he wins, he now needs all of those far right & general nutter voters, forever. Because that is now his party's 'base'. The 'centre' has gone.

What other policies, will that sort of 'base' want to see, from the Party which now depends on their vote ?
Let's just get leaving the EU done and get back to a centre ground

All this right wing bollocks that's being spouted just comes across as Remainer worry and the need to deflect

In fairness the righties are too busy actually committing acts of violence. The Global Terrorism Index tracked 66 deaths in Europe between 2013 and 2017 committed by right wing groups and individuals. Violence from the left is neither as extreme nor as prevalent. It is though often noisier and likely to be characterised in the media as ‘left wing violence’. In contrast the media tend to portray right wing violence as someone having ‘mental trouble’, playing too much Grand Theft Auto or point out their good side as in ‘he was an excellent Tory Councillor’.

This woman was on the left, she was killed by a far right loon. The accusation is being thrown at the PM that the language he is using is making the death threats aimed at female MPs more likely, and he also claimed that the best way to honour Jo Cox was to carry out brexit, something she was known to be against. How in the fuck you lot have managed to find a way to start crying that this is somehow being weaponised towards you is beyond me.

Quite possibly the most disgusting thing i have ever heard in all my life.
It’s not the word humbug that’s the problem. Johnson called a female politician a liar when she said she’d had death threats. That’s pretty low as far as I’m concerned. Maybe you agree with Johnson that she was making it up?

Nope it’s just you only seek to highlight the abusive language, if it can be called that, one way.

I have given you two examples of the left being far more extreme but hey ho, it’s all Boris and the nasty Tories.

They all, the lot of them , need to tone it down.

Johnson won't be toning anything down. Anyone with half a brain can see it's part of his strategy.
