Var debate 2019/20

I have just got in from the match and put BT on, saw our non penalties, they then went to the Atalanta game where there is a clear dive which the referee gave a penalty. The VAR check agreed with him !!
This shows it is a complete waste of time having it. Clear penalties not given are not overturned and shite decisions not overturned. The game is a farce now.

Of course, as I watch every game but the point is that it just doesn't add up. We're all annoyed by the constant decisions not going our way but corruption isn't the reason why because it just doesn't make any sense.

What doesn't fucking add up is 3 blatant penalty decisions being overturned in the same fucking game.
 
The decisions by VAR tonight only confirms my belief that UEFA will decide if they want us to win their Glamour Cup , it has now been taken out of the referees hands and is with some faceless prick looking at a screen who is answerable to no one. Our club will not be allowed to win the Glamour Trophy , if FFP doesnt screw us then VAR will.

It doesn't make any sense to you but makes plenty to just about every one else.

How in the name of God can you explain those decisions tonight. That is not incompetence. That is deliberate.

If UEFA didn't want us to do progress in the CL they wouldn't have given us the easiest group in the competition and certainly not attempted to rig a game that we had virtually no chance of losing.

Unless someone can articulate a logical chain to explain UEFA's corruption against us, I don't subscribe to it yet.

That game against the scousers was the worst example of corruption to date.
Yet many put it down to ‘poor finishing’.

I never said they did target us tonight, you’re arguing against yourself in an empty room fella.

If it makes sense to plenty please explain why we were given the easiest group.

How obvious do you think they will make it? Giving us a nice easy group is a way out in front of sweet innocent people like yourself.

I swear some people open their eyes but don't see a fucking thing.

How do they give us the hardest group when we are seeded 1?

Pep has a booking which will come in handy later & they’ve put the seed of doubt on those players that have been knocked out by shit VAR decisions previously. Against a good team, margins are smaller.

Whilst I believe there is a lot of corruption in the game tonight was about incompetence nothing more, BUT I was told that VAR would stop a lot of that as it would correct clear and obvious errors. Aguero is taken down in the second half but nothing is given by the ref. VAR decide to agree with him. If that is the case there is no point in having it, BUT (yes another one) one mistake is sort of acceptable but 3 in the same match, all of which VAR agree with is disgraceful. I thought the standard in the Premier league was a joke but tonight beat it hands down.

They can't rig every single aspect of the game against us. You don't actually believe that unless it is 100% rigged against us then it's not rigged do you?

Mate, it doesn't make sense. By giving us a nice easy group, even if they tried to rig it and not give us decisions, we'd still be far likelier to advance than giving us a tough one.

Agreed. Its the same sort of argument that says "the ref couldn't have been bent I know he didn't give us those two stone wall pens but he did give us six free kicks inside our own half"..
