In fairness Trump’s plan is doable. It also sounds fun in a ‘Bond villain’ sort of way. Although not fun if you are trying to swim the moat obviously.

Might be illegal as one of his staff pointed out and wouldn't look to good to the rest of the world.

Something my 12 year could have come up with, perhaps it was one of JRM's kids who drew it up on a piece of paper with crayons. Its mind numbling stupid the fat lying oaf is even telling people that this solution won't need any new buildings WTF!!!!
As ideas go, it’s on a par with one of Baldrick’s.

Just listening to Adam Fleming in the BBC build up to the HoC Brexit debate at 11.30. The serious and reverential tones in which he talks about bits of EU bar gossip and their 'demands' etc contrasting with the openly scornful references to the UK side is par for the course for the past three years. Do they know it is their job to be impartial? Remain bias institutionalized.
It was impartiality in preference to telling the truth that helped the Leave liars "win".

Well yes. It’s also barking mad, hilarious and the product of mind that is barely sentient soup.

And talking of barely sentient soup let’s get back to ‘Two borders’ Johnson and Brexit.

ERG on board, DUP on board, a route back into the fold for the Tory rebels, 30 or so Labour MPs minded to vote for a deal, I’m optimistic the basis for a viable deal is emerging.

The 'sensible compromise' would involve people, some of whom who have fought each other & many relatives etc died & had to live through all kinds of shit, for many many years, who finally came to an agreement which got rid of restrictions & borders & brought peace, accepting restrictions & borders, in their country.

I wouldn't.
Where is this compromise?

I would support all sorts of compromises that actually means that we genuinely leave the EU

It is the Remainers - led by the EU sycophants in Westminster and the naked politics of the opposition parties that stop such a deal being established - and yes - also May making no effort at consensus - but that effort would have been wasted

You all just want Brexit cancelled

Interestingly, the change in tone on here in recent weeks absolutely demonstrates the value of the no-deal option being kept alive

I think the EU are going to be the stopper tbh - they'll hang out for an extension using their friends in the HoP.
Possibly, they run the risk of ending up with a Boris Johnson majority government which won’t have the restrictions on it’s room for manoeuvre that this one has.

Genuinely think you should take a break for a bit.
No ones agreeing with your points and instead your selective quotes and tedious writing style is getting people’s backs up.
That is the burden of being able to post the facts of what is actually happening and will happen with an audience that only wants to ignore reality

It is indeed missionary work, but for centuries martyrs have had to do this stuff

And it is always generally unappreciated - you even get packs formed to hound them

Good news is that history tends to prove them to have been correct all the time - although that is never admitted by the naysayers. We have to take comfort in doing civil duties.

Yeah well tell us your proposal , or your twelve year olds then ?

It’s easy just saying no, bollox , rubbish all the time but very hard to actually do or propose something workable but go on

You mean the EU are not going to accept these proposals as presented? I’m shocked. What gave it away? Everyone in NI bar the DUP* telling it to do one? Dublin saying no chance? Brussels being polite but pointing out the obvious flaws?

* note the opportunity to be in control of billions and have a veto over NI’s future direction in no way has influenced this decision.

We might all have a plan but its irrelevant. Boris is the man in charge and its his responsibility to come up with a workable solution

The EU and more specifically Ireland are definitely not going to pass this.

It’s utterly deluded to think otherwise.

This proposal by Johnson isn’t supposed to get through, it’s supposed to be rejected by the EU because it’s totally unacceptable. He can then blame the EU and allow the leave vote to believe him.

Yep he's now proclaiming this is a starting point because up until now he has came out with a lot of hot air and now he has managed to get it down on paper as the EU has asked him to do. We know why Johnson is so bad at attention to detail because he doesn't a fucking clue and has been winging it from the day he was born.
