It's simple economics. We're a strong self sustaining economy. There is nothing concrete with either stay or leave, otherwise there would be no such thing as a stock market.
It's a fine line for me for the benefits of free trade we make heavy contributions and regulatory alignment, but we certainly don't rely on the EU to make our economy work. I can understand why we have a trade deficit with them.
My vote was driven towards remain just because I think that's easier than leaving. What was hard to accept is that the current deal we have will, over time, be detracted down until we are closer and closer to the EU. All we want is trade - yet that's not all the EU want from us as a price. Also concerning is the deteriorating economic situation is several EU economies, if we're too close we may be faced with a decision to bail out or crash out in the future.
Either way I believe we will be fine, have faith in your nation and our ability to stand up and be counted on the global stage. We have a lot of strengths but we seem to focus on anything negative at the moment.
