Not the usual "Just get it done" audience. Three people liked the deal. BP rep was noisy (and no-one asked him about Farage saying we could be like Norway).
Farage is a joke, just noise. Im an avid remainer but I nearly wish there will be a viable deal so as to finally remove that tiresome man's raison d'être

Farage is a remainer at heart. Always has been .

He doesn't want to leave the EU, he's on too good a number. Watch him and his compadres do all they can to keep us in for as long as possible.

In other news, am I a bad person because I've developed one hell of a big crush on Laura Kuensberg? I think she's absolutely gorgeous. I feel dirty but I can't help it .

Julia H-Brewer does it for me big time as well.
And Lisa Nandy .

I need help I think.

So good even Mr Johnson himself said no prime minister should ever negotiate such a deal

Really can’t help feeling that the DUP and hardcore Unionist supporters will not be going quietly into the night over this...

‘An insider from one of the EU institutions here told me today that after UK made its initial offer here 2 weeks ago, Michel Barnier told him, 'we will have to get them to move to a Northern Ireland only backstop, but convince them that's not what's happening' @BBC Mark Urban

This is what I don't get, quiet a lot of the leavers on here keep saying Labour MP's in Leave constituencies must vote with the government this Saturday, otherwise they are Shafting the people they represent.

What's the Leave voters thoughts on the Tory remain constituencies, How should their MP vote on Saturday?
I could go with it seem's you're on the right track, it should see a deal done as 70% of Tory constituencies voted leave along with 60% of Labour ones I'm with you MPs should vote the way you suggest.

After years of fucking about by everyone in politics, we now come to the end game. Irrespective of your own views, we have an agreement that satisfies the UK and EU about a leave position and it now falls upon the members of parliament to vote this through

Any politician of any party, should now vote in line with the decision of their electorate. This has nothing to do with your opinion, it has everything to do with the mechanics of democracy.

I'm absolutely pissed off with chancers obstructing the government for their own self interests. We (the important people don't forget) voted LEAVE!!. just do the job you are supposed to do and carry out the will of the people.

I've said it before, nobody really knows what will happen over the next few years, it could be brilliant, it could be crap. Even the leader of the Bank of England has been sending out mixed messages. Carry out the wish of the people and lets see how it goes. I think as a country we will prosper and expand. If I'm wrong then the remainers can all have a good laugh and go back to the EU and ask if we can be allowed back in and pay our £35b or whatever the membership fees are at that time. They'd welcome us with open arms and piss themselves laughing at us.

Saturday to prove you're British, members of the HoC

Re the last diagram - has HMRC put a figure on how much collecting and refunding taxes will cost the taxpayer? (Plus the cost of paperwork for firms.)

The best guess is somewhere between fucking loads and too much to feature on the side of a bus ...............

Saturday to prove you're British, members of the HoC

We had broadly the same deal offered by the EU and Mayday rejected it previously. We had Maydays deal and that was rejected by Parliament 3 times. What ever is or isn't agreed on Saturday is nothing to do with patriotism and nothing to do with proving anyone is British.

Pales into insignificance against the billions in lost growth (Treasury figures).
Seriously - You believe Hammond's figures?
Examining the entrails of a goat would be as accurate.
Enjoy Brexit as Hungary will probably veto an extension. Bojo had Orban over for tea and biscuits a couple of weeks ago.

Slightly off topic but just heard that arch brexiteer and full time ****, John Redwood, is apparently MP for a heavily remain constituency.
I live there - no chance that it will be anything other than Conservative after the GE

Corbyn is a far bigger concern than Brexit

I actually think you know you’re wrong but you carry on anyway because you’ve been wrong so much for so long, you don’t know any different.

I’ve told you several times all Johnson has done is accept another arrangement the EU offered 2 years ago. He’s not done “what they said could not be”.
You are able to fool yourself - such is your level of denial

No mean feat that

Th EU banked the May deal which was/is better for them than their previously offered settlement - and you exulted in their claim they would not reopen the WA

You and others have been proven to be utterly wrong - just you need to twist rather then 'man up'

Yes he has. If you go back on this thread you were clearly stating that there were to be no further negotiations, the WA could not be reopened and all sorts of other bollocks that wasn't true. I'll leave you to bump your own posts.
Looking like golf might get rained off today

If so - I might be happy to spend time doing that and let's see if he and others then man up

And you reckon you know about negotiations. Don’t make me fucking laugh.
Johnson has caved in totally to EU demands and has crossed all the red lines his predecessor said were non-negotiable.
Fortunately for him the right wing press are on his side and are happy to overlook the fact that this deal, if it goes through, marks the beginning of the end of the UK as a union of four countries now that NI has its own arrangements. And mugs like you will go along with it either because you are gullible fools or have a secret hard on for the ****.
As for admitting being wrong, after the Benn bill went through and the attempts to circumvent it failed it was nailed on he’d get an agreement, and it was always going to be through caving in. My previous posts have explained this.

it’s all a charade. He wants us out without a deal remember.

Probably as much as he could achieve shackled by the ben act. You've just got a slapped arse on because he's managed to deliver on his promise. If he didn't have the gun of asking for an extension held to his head by folk pretending they want a deal he may have acheived more, but we'll never know I suppose.
Spot on - well said

Sycophants at Westminster undermining the UK

Posters on here not able to man up and accept that they have been proven to be wrong

FFS being wrong is not a hanging offence:

You don’t like it because of the backstop but the backstop is the only way out of the mess that is Brexit, if we want to leave the Customs Union and retain the GFA......

Because the backstop is the only guarantee to uphold the GFA indefinitely and the EU see it, as May did, as fundamental to the peace process.
It’s not stubborn pride, they’ve given us 2 years to negotiate this and have said as soon as there’s an alternative the backstop goes, Johnson hasn’t provided one.

I’m not upset with that, if Johnson gets a better deal than the WA I will be over the moon and relieved.
….. The EU will not reopen the Withdrawal Agreement so it may as well be a deadline to leave on no deal or with the current agreement.

Congrats to George for:
Boris could surprise us all. No backstop, no customs union, no single market - no problem!
but this was met with....

.................I highly highly doubt that.

He’s not given them a single alternative and he’s got about 11 days left until they won’t even entertain him, according to the Finnish PM.

@Ban-jani I quote yours posts simply because you have tried to shout down @Mazzarelli's Swiss Cheese and myself for simply stating the truth - do you need more examples?

Again, another falsehood.

Hmmmm

Where is that gif - a Simpson's one I think - where the family realise that they are digging in the wrong direction

Anyway - enough of proving people to be wrong - I have only been minded to do so due to the shocking level of denial that extends to suggesting others are lying when telling simple truths

Let's see what joys today brings as the focus switches to Westminster
