Another new Brexit thread

It’s all about timing. There hasn’t been a word of complaint about antisemitism for months, suddenly as Labour take a grip, this makes news.

I know as blues we can spot it in the sports sections a mile off, surely we can do the same here.
Very strange times we live in. Both Corbyn and BJ although very different people have the same issue in that half their own party and the press want to stab them in the back at any opportunity. There was a thread on the rise of the right on here a week ago, but frankly I find this rise of the press and spin much more worrying. It's the reason we as a nation have been divided and set upon each other over brexit.

I'm genuinley impressed by your mental gymnastics. My rather more simplistic reading of the referendum was that it presented a simple binary choice, which to date has not been enacted.

A couple of years after A50 was invoked by Parliament with the best deal available, or no Deal if that was better.

My binary understanding was in or out. Hence the term binary. The debate about the type of out is certainly valid, but does not excuse eternal procrastination by those who really just want to force another referendum or remain.

I thought out would mean we would no longer be members of the EU. I can't really be more clear - much like the ballot paper itself.

thats like saying open means open and closed means closed is meaningless. They might both be statements of the blindingly obvious that shouldn't need stating, but they are not 'meaningless'

I don't wish to be patronising by posting pics of the ballot paper and clips of Cameron clearly stating what the results of voting leave would be - I'm sure you are clever enough to google these yourself if needed.
So calm
So simple
So patient
So irrefutable - therefore:
So frustrating for those that wish to twist the facts to enable them to deny what is blindingly obvious

Respect sir

And round and round we go. Will not be any clarity after a GE in my view and a GE shouldn't be held on a single issue.
Well - we tried the referendum route to decide a single issue - but that has not proved to be effective as the HoC is dominated by Remain supporting MPs that prefer to represent their own views rather than those of their constituents

Careful Rascal - all this spleen can backfire, Boris is a hero to many - the new Horatius?
Then out spake brave Horatius,
The Captain of the gate:
“To every man upon this earth
Death cometh soon or late.
And how can man die better
Than facing fearful odds
For the ashes of his fathers
And the temples of his gods,
Like your post.

I genuinely worry he is becoming a hero to the wrong people and he should worry too.

It certainly is. It's shambolic and surreal in equal measure it's like the country is going insane. What forces the referendum has unleashed.

I did warn about it on here mate before the referendum even happened, our nation is simply not suited to referendum, its about the only thing I have ever agreed with the witch on. The lack of written constitution was always going to lead to disaster. What I didn't think I would see is the rise of extremism on both sides of the debate and yes it is both sides from the rise of Farage and his acolytes to the lunatics of the FBPE crowd. It didn't solve anything, it created a schism that has grown into a gulf. The media have fuelled it and the vested interests have interfered in the process.

On another place that I post, I wondered if it was always the Osborne and Cameron plan for it to end this way, it was their revenge on the Euro-sceptics who brought them down and the plan would divide parties and make the country ungovernable. When people have what they consider their birth right taken away from them they are quick to seek revenge and if you are so full of self importance then somebody has to pay. Sadly it is we the people who are paying for the intransigence of the self serving elite.

Something has to give, somebody has to play the grown up, somebody has to back down, somebody has to show some leadership and somebody has to shake this country to its senses because we are teetering on the brink of serious disorder and the UK we knew is in danger of becoming a UK we despise.

I appreciate the link.

I just find it convenient as soon as Corbyn as cracked the racism issue in the party, has the government on the run etc... this comes up.

The media has an all out campaign against the man.

Very obvious and predictable timing but the Telegraph is preaching to the converted.

No comment on Dominic Cummings in 2015 setting out the complexity of leaving and the ignorance of voters and suggesting that making it a binary question would "swerve" round said complexity and ignorance?

According to the New Statesman, no politician has earned more from Brexit than Farage.

He pays himself £27,000 per month from his company Thorn in the Side Limited. This is for appearances on the media from outlets like Fox, LBC and the like.

It certainly dwarfs his £5,000 a month salary as an MEP.

Makes you think, what an odious **** he is.

As if we didn't know already.
