I have no issue with it being respected George, I just get the impression that Johnson wants this to fail, he is useless and getting worse by the question.

I am hoping he starts crying.

And 48% won't.

Also its really 36% or eligible voters not 52% of the population.

One third of the country that could vote, voted to leave jist under one third voted and the other third were were too lazy or supid to bother.

The whole thing leave/remain is a load of misinformed bollocks tbf

The Brexit mandate is the consequence of a FPTP referendum agreed by the sovereign parliament, you can lament the unwelcome consequences but it happened nevertheless.

Would you accept that argument if Labour win a GE with just 40% of the vote and a huge percentage of the population not voting for them?

I agree but it is all still a load of bollocksand always has been.

Still we leave as that is how it stands and I am fine with that if the deal is right

The fact that he has thrown a hissy and threatened to take his ball back over the Letwin Benn amendment speaks volumes. What are his real intentions ? When you have Raab and Gove still promising no deal to the ERG this deal looks like a con to get exactly that. If he follows through with pulling the vote then this proves to me its a con. What does he have to lose today if he wins he gets the expression of parliaments wishes and the momentum to get this deal through properly once and for all.

The current deal is the same deal that was available in April 2016 - divorce settlement up front, everything else to be 'negotiated' until a no deal outcome is adjusted for in both camps in a few years. The EU can offer nothing else and still protect its interests.
 
Just for fun turn the sound off and play the muppet's signature tune, the updown updown syncs pretty well, even though the muppet show is much more believable. (sorry Kermit, we live in strange times but no mud will stick )

Is it not on the Parliament channel or news one? Where are those who have commented so far seem or heard it?

I agree it should be available to watch somewhere on the bbc are you telling me it isn’t at all?

To be honest though most people are just interested in whether it gets through or not. The time to object to what is said is gone
