Am I the greatest Stone Roses fan on the forum?

Thought the Seahorses album Do It Yourself was fantastic, your opinion?
Listened to it over the Summer, it hasn’t aged well. Quite bland really and their best track isn’t on the album

Fucking brilliant outro to this track!

can't stand them and their raggish music. all you need to do is glance at that **** ian brown to identify him as a rag.
Especially with his snide new haircut

It’s not a blast your eardrums out album but as I listen to quite a lot of Punk music (amongst other stuff) its probably why I like it as a melancholy option. Easy to listen to and even though I have the worse voice in the world sing along to when no one else is around.

He’s from a family of Blues and has been quite complimentary about City. I used to know a girl whose brother was married to Brown’s ex-wife. He’s ok by all accounts.

John Squire is understood to be a quiet, private individual. Reni always struck me as sound.

One of my favourite songs, couldn't take john squire in the seahorses, was like seeing an ex with another fella.
Love is the law was a good roses esque tune.

Isn't Reni a blue? if i'm not mistaken?

Only a bitter blue would say that pal. Stone Roses were a fantastic group and a big part of the madchester scene. I also think Ian Brown has done some really good solo albums, whatever club he or them support is irrelevant IMO.

I respect where you're coming from, putting football rivalry aside I have genuinely never warmed to their music. Not really my thing

Can’t believe this parody thread of ‘am I the greatest non-city fan on the forum’ has 6 pages of replies.

I feel like a giddy 13 year old girl who’s just posted a selfie.

Only on BM :)

Stone Roses have been my favourite band for about 20 years and honestly never thought they’d be bettered. But i’ve Been listening to Brown’s solo stuff a lot recently and it’s fucking magnificent! He doesn’t quite hit the heights of Adored or Resurrection but after that he has 15+ bangers! Marathon Man for one is so underrated.

I really like the Stone Roses but they were just the warm up act for Oasis and not a patch on the Smiths.
