Liverpool thread 2019/20

Haha, a Liverpool supporter is currently arguing on Twitter that the statement “The league is now back in City’s hands” is not a fact.

He’s literally said, several times, “it’s not a fact” and that any City supporter saying it is delusional.

I knew Dippers were thick but sometimes they really do surprise me.

Classy as ever, the way they systematically took it in turns to rough up the James kid.

Call me a cynic, but in the same week he was knocked flat playing for Wales.

They couldn't cope with his pace, so Van Dick and Matip decided to tackle and then body check him.

Sly dogs, at the right club.

He was violently body checked by Fabinho, too.

If you have someone man-marking Firmino, they don’t seem to pose much threat bar the counter attack.

Alexander-Arnold can be got at, and we saw today that Van Dijk and Matip can be exposed by explosive pace.

It’s a shame they score so many late goals.

SB, that’s Field’s Medal mathematics you’re asking for...

Been saying all week to my nervous Blue pals that we're in a 30 game season now, all we have to do is get 9 more points than The Scouse Filth (as I said last January when we went into a 14 game season and won the lot!)

This has been week 1 of that 30 game season and we've won well at a very tricky away fixture while gaining 2 more points than The Bus Wreckers. Long way to go, lots of football to be played, one game at a time.. But we've been here in this position 3 times since 2012.. And we never give up. Ever.

Tbh he fucking cheated in that friendly and should be facing a ban.

very poor game by both teams ?? liverpool are a team ready to blow up and if losing only salah does that to them good luck in the next 29 games. and if they then have the luck man city have had with injuries liverpool will be in trouble, but united are poor and look a mid-table team at best yes the will have good days in bigger games because they are cup finals to them now, but they are not fit enough to last 45 mins and if that was city today playing them city win by 4 or 5 because we would have them chancing the ball for 20mins and burn them out

but liverpool are cry babies and wanting everything ?? nice to see VAR doing them over for once and even if it was united i would have love to see pep's face when liverpool scored only for VAR to rule it out hahahahahahh

Bang on - nothing made about it in the commentary but both cynical dangerous fouls that should have been carded.

Best them at home, get a draw at anfield and we need 1 more win than them in 27 games.

Very doable. We need to win out next two now and score plenty.

The funny thing is that I do not know a single blue that genuinely thinks we will when every one of our next 29 league games. We could, but I do not believe we will. But I also do not think Liverpool will.

But, all of that aside, it is a *fact* that if we win all of our remaining games this season, scoring a sufficient number of goals, there is nothing Liverpool or any other team could do to stop us from winning the league.

That they cannot even understand this speaks volumes about their average intelligence.

Only watched the first 60 minutes....Solskjaer out thought Klopp. Interesting approach that exposed Liverpool's set-up. Something for other managers to think about.

This is the Liverpool fans we're talking about; you do realise that, don't you?
