Grinds my gears that the media talk about the dippers in the same breath as City as a footballing side. They are awful to watch. Uncultured 1990s hoofball (done very very well, admittedly) and swinging in crosses hoping for a mistake.

Don’t get me wrong - they are extremely effective, although i’d like to see how they’d break teams down if teams approached them like they approach City i.e. zero ambition.

Been saying all week to my nervous Blue pals that we're in a 30 game season now, all we have to do is get 9 more points than The Scouse Filth (as I said last January when we went into a 14 game season and won the lot!)

This has been week 1 of that 30 game season and we've won well at a very tricky away fixture while gaining 2 more points than The Bus Wreckers. Long way to go, lots of football to be played, one game at a time.. But we've been here in this position 3 times since 2012.. And we never give up. Ever.

Great post, JFE.

;-)

You know that the media is the worst and least objective of observers , so don't let them get to you.

It's just food for the fuckwits .

Might be small but noticed a difference in mentality between us and them. If we scored a late equaliser against Utd would we be celebrating or running back to the centre circle for the winner.

Just wondering, but how can a team with, the best goalkeeper in the world, the best two full backs in the world, the best central defender in the world, the best front three in the world be so shit that they cannot beat a shit team?
Don't forget the best defensive mid and best manager as well.

Bit early to be calling them bottlers, will bite us on the arse. They've already played Chelsea and United away ,Arsenal and Leicester at home in those 9 games. We've only played Spurs at home. Until we get Laporte back and are either ahead or a few points behind them i won't be so confident!
You are judging them on the last few gamesI am judging them over a period of 10 years. I agree with you and don’t want to go full dipper in October with 30 games to go. I question their mentality and to see Klopp speaking with the 3 rd official today constantly shows me that mentally they are already feeling the pressure.
In my opinion they have had massive luck to even get to this point. It cannot continue for ever. Today they played without Salah for 1 game and dropped points, van dickface isn’t the messiah they claim he is. Rashford gave him big problems today. if we played them tomorrow with our makeshift team like we played yesterday we would hammer them.

They lost way more games than us in the CL last year but managed to win it. We are doing everything right and getting better. Time will tell but if we show what we have for past three years in terms of character and performance. They will not live with us. Slow start yes, but we are the best finishers of a season I have ever seen. To win 14 consecutive games to bring the title home is all I need to know about the character of this team.

Grow up.
