There are few deterrents these days. I think they should have the bailiffs in and confiscate his stuff, flog it at auction and with the proceeds build a wind farm, but not within sight of Ewing Towers - we've already got enough that ne'er seem to turn!

Well first, perhaps I did miss your post and if you were not referring to climate change (in a thread which is implicitly all about climate change) then I apologise.

But reminding people that we are not all climate science experts, is hardly "giving it the Billy Big Bollocks".

It’s not implicitly about climate change at all. Environmental issues encompass much more than that. Based on your output, you appear to assume otherwise.

No need to apologise though.

No, raising the profile of something does not necessarily engender support for it.

It does create awareness of the issue. If ER had not done what they are doing, would there have been a thread on here about them? Of course not, now everybody who looks at this sub-forum is aware of them, that does not have to mean people agree with them. I think they have a point, I support their right to protest but I am not going to join them in their campaign because it has in my opinion lots of flaws. But by grabbing my attention I looked into their cause, otherwise I would not.

Well we've had a thread about Greta Thunberg on here for longer than this one so i'd suggest that people are already aware of the 'issues' these cranks are trying to highlight, we've also had plenty of actual climate change threads on here in the past.

Majority of these are just out to cause trouble without any care for the rest of the working population they're pissing off.

Clogged London's roads up for 2 weeks and released even more CO2 and pollution in doing so.

Correct. For many of them, it's not even about climate change. It's an anti-capitalist, anti-industrialisation, anti-neoliberalism protest. They want us to go back to horse-drawn ploughs and basket-weaving. They remind me of the Greenham Common or Twyford Down protestors. Heck, I bet some of them are the same actual people.
 
Anyone should and are welcome to protest about anything and everything that should be everyone's standpoint from the get go. This bunch of merry whatsits are getting upset that they are being disagreed with. We've got to do something and they have I helped highlight it I suppose, but their day in the sun has passed.
All they are are anarchists that have found a new vehicle to drive.

It does amuse me how people see a supposed bunch of "hippies" as a threat to their way of life.

Anti-protesting is the new norm, the anti-hippies are the new hippies, only they are right wing and kow-tow to the establishment. The brainwashing is almost complete, the age of free thinking nearly over and when it is we will be left with a load of brainless automatons, incapable of critical thinking, rational thought and meekly accepting of the rule of the powerful.

Nothing must ever get in the way of profit, it is a neo-liberal wankathon of epic proportions.

Those damn crusties.
