I’m not sure who you’re trying to sell it to, I reckon 99% of people on here are pro-immigration to some degree.
Blair didn’t exploit immigration, he just completely ignored it and didn’t think it was something worth looking at, which was obviously a mistake.
I’ve got two direct reports from Eastern Europe, they’re both great additions to British society but the problem is, people become defensive when their entire communities change quickly, for whatever reason, not just immigration, and that was ignored.
Brexit, in my opinion, was a last grasp at opposing globalisation.
There was more to it than that but I agree when the government is driving around vans with signs telling people to go home it does give you an easy scapegoat to blame austerity on.
