I’m not sure who you’re trying to sell it to, I reckon 99% of people on here are pro-immigration to some degree.

Blair didn’t exploit immigration, he just completely ignored it and didn’t think it was something worth looking at, which was obviously a mistake.

I’ve got two direct reports from Eastern Europe, they’re both great additions to British society but the problem is, people become defensive when their entire communities change quickly, for whatever reason, not just immigration, and that was ignored.

Brexit, in my opinion, was a last grasp at opposing globalisation.

There was more to it than that but I agree when the government is driving around vans with signs telling people to go home it does give you an easy scapegoat to blame austerity on.

And sorry to quote my own post, but control of our borders and immigration cuts both ways.

Am I thrilled at the idea that in return for us being able to control the numbers of EU migrants coming in, I will be unable to freely live, work and potentially retire in any one of 27 other countries? No I am not. Seems like one hell of a lot to give up in return for fuck all.

And this is where these ignorant morons who are living outside UK in EU have now come a cropper when they voted Brexit turkeys voting for Christmas does spring to mind for these dickheads.

Those signs were nothing but a gimmick to try and appear strong on immigration, rather than a serious policy.

I doubt a single illegal immigrant left because they read one.

It genuinely astounds me the amount of knobheads living overseas who are seemingly so passionate about stopping people (potentially including themselves) from having the opportunity to do the same. Dubai is full of these Little Englandler fuckwits, constantly banging on about "taking back control of our country" but not actually wanting to live there themselves.

More on Johnson is a liar that seemed to get his sycophants in a bit of a tiz yesterday.

We have officially turned into the USA.

Anyone we disagree with is a Trumpian character and everything i hear or read i dont like is "fake news".

We then use a political website paid for by a Billionaire with a very big influence in politics himself to somehow prove it all.

we seem really good at jailing single mothers for council tax arrears, not having a tv license, and forcibly rehousing 80 year old widows, and spending hundreds of millions on implementing the tax on poverty cunningly misnamed as universal credit as well as calling the national minimum wage a " living wage". Given their savage determination to cull anyone with an immigrant in their lineage (or even a neighbour) I propose the Home Office be unleashed on the money-laundering tax evading brexit-funding spawn of thatcher's "light-touch" ( ie, here's the keys to the vault, dip your bread in.)
Never has so many been shafted by so few; this is not "capitalism", it's robbery on a giant scale, that no tory government would dream of tackling.

It’s amazing that when tactics are used similar to those perfected by the liar Johnson, his sycophants cry foul. ;-)

I quite like this little slide. It reminds me why I voted Remain in the first place but even more importantly it reinforces why I can't accept anything other than the rescinding of Article 50 or a confirmatory referendum.
How many of these promises does liar Johnson's deal include?

Cameron got the timing completely wrong... or at least the Conservative party split at the worst time depending on which side you advocate for. I live in an area with swathes of elderly folk who talked a lot about shutting borders (whatever that means) and leave ultimately won. At the time of all this hostility towards migration, Europe was going through the biggest refugee crisis since the Second World War and we had footage of Calais under siege thrown at us on a daily basis. Surprised by how much it has been downplayed but I always felt the timing of the referendum was significant.
Very, very good point.

So government money spent on party political purposes...

Like all the "get ready for Brexit" signs...

Amazon paid £220m tax on UK sales of £10.9bn.

I didn't think Bluemoon was that influential.

A convenient dismissal of the rest of the lying shower, promising faithfully and sincerely to honour commitments,
Corbyn the chief amongst them, spouting one after another. I get you're on the other side, fair enough, but Johnson's popularity
is almost twice that of Corbyn, why is that? The incessant lying slurs don't seem to be working, do they?
They're not slurs. He's a liar. You know he is. You don't care.

I generally dislike the Tories, but let’s not follow them down the path of fake news.

You cannot be imprisoned for not having a tv licence, only for refusing to pay a fine for not having one.

You cannot be imprisoned for council tax arrears, only for refusing to pay the arrears without good cause.

There’d be no bugger left if they ‘culled everyone with an immigrant in their lineage’.

“Leaving the EU will undoubtedly make it easier for a Corbyn-led Labour government to implement its brilliant policies from the 2017 election manifesto.”

I think this particular publication should look closer to home as who is stopping a Corbyn-led Government.......
