Those signs were nothing but a gimmick to try and appear strong on immigration, rather than a serious policy.

I doubt a single illegal immigrant left because they read one.

Me neither but it still contribute to a rise in hate crime and set racism on the rise.

The get ready for Brexit signs, to be fair, are government business, regardless of who’s in power.
Where were all the signs saying "Get ready for losing your bus service / library / freedom of movement / EHIC / etc etc..."

Actually, it is a bit of a mixed thing - "Get ready for having to spend big money filling in piles more paperwork".

“Leaving the EU will undoubtedly make it easier for a Corbyn-led Labour government to implement its brilliant policies from the 2017 election manifesto.”

I think this particular publication should look closer to home as who is stopping a Corbyn-led Government.......

No doubt but i was more pointing out the fact that millionaires are at the heart of it, political elite, big business who might not pay all their taxes...............

We have officially turned into the USA. Anyone we disagree with is a Trumpian character and everything i hear or read i dont like is "fake news". We then use a political website paid for by a Billionaire with a very big influence in politics himself to somehow prove it all.

Only on here friend and by a few members of an online Stalinist Book Club. If their parliamentary librarians ever allow the reading public to have a say there will be wholesale branch closures.

Millionaires running campaigns, which are essentially big businesses, is hardly new. The issue particularly with Aaron Banks is where that money came from

On another note - how long do MPs have off for Xmas/New Year? My point being that if the extension is to 31st Jan 2020, considering they don’t sit on Fridays anyway how much work will actually get done in that time. I.e total sitting days?

Banks has been found not guilty of anything after a Met police investigation and the CPS looking at it all.

They found nothing now unless those on twitter seemingly know stuff they dont and couldn't find id suggest its the usual "we say he is guilty so he is guilty, simple" scenario playing out once again.

I'm pleased though that you agree its nothing new....just others peddling this bullshit to admit the same now and we can move on.

As for sitting days, everytime i look PMQ's aside or brexit vote the chamber is empty and they do nothing but call each other liars with barely any debate going on.

They could get this deal done in a few days if they had the political will to do so but they wont because many are remain at all costs so not sure if more sitting days will change anything tbh.

so are you really saying those statements were not part of the leave campaign promises?

We shared a video yesterday did we not of statements being made and you dismissed it.

Besides, thats not what my post is about. Its about the rank hypocrisy on display in this thread.

Millionaire this, political elite that, business with interests the other............

No shit sherlock.

We are leaving the UK on the basis of the 'promises/lies' that you attempt to deflect or deny. That is the simple truth mate and no amount of whataboutery will change that. Just pointing out inconvenient truths less they be forgotten by those that support this fuckery.

And this is where these ignorant morons who are living outside UK in EU have now come a cropper when they voted Brexit turkeys voting for Christmas does spring to mind for these dickheads.
I go to a EU country regularly, see and speak to the people you so charmingly describe as ignorant morons.
None I've met, and I've met plenty, is in any way fearful of being deported back to the UK, nobody has decided to return here,
for the reasons you describe, and none have come a cropper. In fact, there is a steady influx of newly arrived, buying up
properties, that market is thriving over there, many are from the UK, many from other European countries. If you have the
means to support yourself, and are bringing funds into their country, a state of affairs that's guaranteed to boost their economy,
which it does to a large extent, you have no problems at all.
Oh, and many are looking forward to Christmas.
