Future Strikers

I don't know if we have a thread for him yet or not, but this Lautaro Martinez lad on Inter is absolutely electric. He looks like what people think Dybala is.

looks class - would def have him when Kun hangs up his boots....

If Kane leaves Spurs at the end of the season surely we would have to be interested?
I think that ship has sailed. It would be near impossible for Spurs to sell him domestically unless it was for an absolutely insane fee and at the end of the day he'll be 27 this summer, his numbers have regressed in the last year, and he's an injury risk. If I had to guess he's not going anywhere for the foreseeable future, he's worth far more to Spurs than he is anyone else.

Earling Braut Haland - He's one of our own!

Honest opinion now
How many on here would be happy to just swap Jesus for kun when he is ready to retire .what I mean is that we just buy a second choice striker and not someone like Kane etc ?

I would.

I think the team is better balanced with Jesus in it anyway, now.

Aguero is obviously more lethal and has been the best since he came to England but he’s now slowed and I think Jesus adds a different dynamic.

The rags will throw stupid money at Kane and fits their buying British theme they’ve got going at the minute
Works for me. Could get Werner for 30mil buyout, use Foden and Bernardo in Silva’s slot and get Sancho for right wing.

Sterling/Sane, Werner & Sancho as a front 3 would be deadly. If Sane goes, Werner could play LW/LF without upsetting Jesus’ game time, or could play with 2 strikers. If Sane went, I don’t think the net spend would be huge.

Could we not sign another winger and move raz central if required?
This is my thought too. He's an awesome striker, and with free run as a CF i think he'd be deadly.

Sane is out at the mo, but with Raheem, Mahrez, Sane and Jesus we have all we need, provided that they stay.

I really don't think Kane is city material - he is too preoccupied with him-self and not, imho, a team player in the City sense. And i really doubt he'd get first team games in our current team.... Minus Aguero i don't know - he certainly hasn't got the team play mentality of Jesus, and unless the team dynamic changes drastically i don't see a place for him at City under Pep.

Son, however.... I think he'd fit very well into our team. Under Pep he'd be phenomenal. But, as a replacement for Aguero we have to understand that Pep may not be at City when Sergio goes, so whoever comes in wont have his influence. But still i think Son would make a fantastic edition should we be in need of a striker.

If Poch goes in the next twelve months, then Son may be up for leaving too. But could he step up into a team with Sergio, Jesus, Sterling, Sane and Mahraz in it?

Kane has got utd written all over him. I doubt very much he'd come to, or even fit in at City. The board probably won't even entertain his fee, to begin with.

Pretty sure we’d lose Jesus if he’s not pencilled in as first choice post-Kun.

Too good to accept second place for ever.
It was interesting to see the reports this weekend that we value Jesus at 100m to put off interest from Bayern. Is the value come from us? and if so are we prepared to sell him?
