Yes more a parody band.It wasn't "Steven" the mysterious cake flinger was it? Mind you I can't imagine him being that frivolous.
Anyone remember Alberto Y Lost Trios Paranoias? Not sure they were a true punk band but they were around at the time. Very funny too.

I had an original Warhead t-shirt, also bought another I had until quite recently, don't know what happened to it. Also had a 'Another Kind of Blues' t-shirtI was in the UK subs fan club. Seem to remember there was an advert in melody maker or sounds to send an sae with a postal order for £2.50 for a year's membership. I was about 13 at the time so had to save up pocket money. Got monthly news letters and bought a war head t shirt !
Just received a Rattus Norvegicus Stranglers album cover t-shirt off eBay I'm well chuffed with.

Anyone remember Ed Banger & The Nosebleeds? I had a single called K'innell Tommy & I always thought it was them but it turns out it was after Eddie Garrity (Ed Banger) had left and that single was by Ed Banger & His Group Therapy.

Still got my 7" copy of "ain't been to no music school". Bought either in the underground market or from Robinsons records.

Gobbing On Life is very similar.
There is a bit in Mark Burgess book about the Huddersfield gig. He hitch hiked there from Middleton (on Xmas Day) and saw the afternoon matinee which all the kids of striking firefighters were at, then the evening show.
