I know it wasn't a normal game but I had a view of 115 & all of level 1 last night as I was in padded seats behind Pep rather than my normal 315.

115 sang quite a lot I thought, wasn't particularly loud but a) held thier own against 7/8ths of a block of away fans & b) was noticeably just them singing. The only noise anywhere else were 5 second chants Bluemoon and Come on City & they didn't start in 115.

As a 115'er that was quite quiet for us. I think we get a lot of flack for atmosphere because a lot of the people who sit in SSL3 (away support included) can't hear our singing sections below. One thing we can guarantee is that there are 50 or so of us who will try and get songs going at every game. :)

Southampton fans who came last night were quite funny...

Gotta come all that way again on Saturday....respect

They were funny last night, the Saints lot.

They were ole’ing any time they strung more than three passes together
Singing “we’ve got the ball” then within seconds “we’ve lost the ball”
Singing “we had a shot”

They had a shot that went well wide and our fans sang “you’re fucking shit” to which they replied “you sang a song”.

Thought they were good and there were no anti-Hassenhutl songs or booing.

I spent the second half at the back of 115 with a group of the 1984 lads.
There were a good group of relocated fans in the front couple of rows who gave it a good go song wise.
From the back row you could actually see the different areas of who was trying to get the songs going.
Once again the middle section of 115 was pretty poor; I accept that a lot of season ticket holders I that area are not I the cup scheme and that means lot of non regular match goers in that section.

Has the 1984 group ever considered uniformly scattering their most vocal members across the singing section? Just a personal observation, but it pretty obvious to me that its harder to get someone to sing if its a group of people at the back, songs tend to spread out from the source. Now if a song gets going and there are people to the left and right of you people feel more comfortable belting one out.

Something like the image above, its a sacrifice for members of the group but i genuinely think its worth a try.

Good today.

Crowd stayed and supported the team to the victory.

Yes it was decent today. SSL3 in good voice second half when the realisation set in we were in a game.

Also as discussed on this forum last week, we went back to singing proper city songs, rather than clique song more suited to the concourse.

Much better today, especially the last half an hour. Helped being up against it and having a shit excuse of a ref trying to fuck us over.

Still a few too many empties but I absolutely loved it today. Felt like a real batttle and the crowd like Jrb says stayed with it.

The difference a 3pm kick off and some real adversity can make.

This.

We can raise the roof when we need to, its difficult to motivate yourself if your putting 5/6/7 past teams. If our title is on the line and we are up against it we can really make a difference.
