Its not the love of the clubs, it’s the love of success and taking a short cut towards it by supporting the team that wins everything. If these 3 clubs had not had a period of success would these fans who support from 100s or 1000s of miles away still be interested in supporting them?

If you aren’t a scouser what reason other than trophies would you support Liverpool for? We support City as we have grown up with them being absolute shite and never abandon the team from our City, why the fuck would I want to support a team 100s of miles away I can’t go and watch and don’t have any connection too?

Well said that man..

He'll make some shit up about his dad sitting him on his knee back in the 60's and telling him to throw his love and support behind the 2nd division Dippers before the Littlewoids investment..

Proper plastic scousers the lot of them..

Where have they all been over the past 30 years?

Pop in now and then to gob off, 2014 springs to mind as does last season until their team bottled it again and let them down...

All turning up on here giving it the big I am 'cos they're in front on the first lap of a 10K race..

Latched on to a bit of success back in the day to make them feel relevant in society, not got the balls to support their local hometown team..

They all come across as a bit insecure and lacking in social skills if you ask me..

Hardly difficult to work out why only 6 teams are named, they are the 6 who are supposed to be title rivals, though 2 of them are currently anything but.

Obviously, but the issue is apparently that us and Man U are somehow getting those pens because the referees favour us. Up until recently Spurs had been awarded more penalties at Anfield than Liverpool (since their game when they had two). That, even for anyone is quite an unusual blip.
So what’s your reason for joining Bluemoon?

To talk football?

To enjoy the banter?

Or to gloat because you are six points ahead of the best team in the land?

If I wanted to gloat, wouldn't I have joined when Liverpool were 8 points ahead?

I don't know, some weird hope that fans of arguably the two best sides the Premier league have seen could share some common ground.

City are a fantastic side, and if both sets of supporters constantly sink to the lowest common denominator it'll take something away.

Atkinson is a shocking ref. But he has no agenda against Liverpool. Look at his decision making in the Spurs game against the Blues. Refs, the FA, the media. They are biased at times against all teams if you look hard enough.

I have never might a dipper from dipperpool where I live , they are all local from kent most late 30's walking around town in they replica shirts.
I have met more utd fans from the greater Manchester area so going by that the dippers are more plastic than utd
After the final game last season I did notice an increase in swearing at my van myst have been something to do with my City scarf across the dashboard, the lol all dippers didnt seem to like it lol

There’s no point.

They won’t admit anything.

It’s in their nurture. It’s in their DNA. It’s in their mindset.

It’s probably been formed and ingrained from decades of being singled out, being vilified, pretending to be different, being Scouse, not being English, etc.

You’re all wasting your time.
Is this the Manchesh' Yoonated thread? ;-)

Guess who has wrote this

Pep Guardiola's 'pathetic' gamesmanship ahead of Liverpool showdown might just backfire on him

He also goes on to defend Mane's dive

There’s a few to choose from, but I’m going to guess the whole of the FA.

It's more like City fans struggle to understand how a set of fans from Liverpool and United have the gall to call City fans plastic so often these days. When the vast majority of the fans saying it, are closer to the original definition of plastic/glory hunter. Which was probably first coined for Liverpool fans after their success in Europe gained overseas fans(70s-80s) and later United fans after the 90s and the PL worldwide "brand" and broadcasting changed English football. Not for the better according to some football historians. Even our new fans wont be supporting the club because they believe we are the biggest or the most popular because City fans never brag about any of that. I know which clubs' fans do like to do that though.

Also that reminds me, I can't remember who it was but Talksport had a guy(proper football historian) on saying all of this, with regards to when money really "ruined the game"(in the 90s). I seem to remember they sounded like they regretted having him on, barely engaging with him. I think he's written a book about it, maybe someone here remembers the full details.
Articulated perfectly

Michael Oliver is the ref on Sunday. Best regards in the league I think. Happy with that. Pity he couldn't be in the VAR room too.

Exactly - what emotional attachment could you possibly have?

How can City force a rivalry with a club that’s not finished above them in 2009?

Haha!!!...it's comical that Liverpool fans seem obsessed with City and are annoyed that we don't care about any rivalry bull**** with them.

I wasn't going to mention it but I will as Mr. Klopp does. Tactical fouling...I think that is actually Henderson's main function in the team and Klopp has clearly taught him well. But of course he doesn't know anything about that...he only knows about the strength of the wind and how long the grass is at any given time.

Klopp's actual words and recognition that Pep didn't specifically mention Mane. Everyone will have seen the "tactical fouls" bit but he also gets an oil reference in there.

"I am not sure if Pep spoke in that moment about Sadio or the team – both is not too nice to be honest,” said Klopp.
“Somebody showed it to me because I had to see it as everybody told me about it…I couldn’t really believe it to be honest. Then I saw it"
“I am not too sure if I want to put oil on the fire. I am not interested in these kind of things. And I promise not to mention tactical fouls."

It's going to be a great week for City bingo.....
