was the formation at kick off according to Sky , and Fernandinho did play deep with Walker and Mendy as wingers in preference to Sterling and Sane.

It wasnt a masterclass because the Dippers were the better team for the first twenty minutes , we scored against the run of play , Mane got sent off , we brought Sane on and changed tactics and the rest as they say is history 5-------------------0

If you look a the Premier records it states Manchester City 5 Liverpool (only ten men) 0 :)

Think its a risk in such a big game , but your correct who can second guess Pep , but not on Pearce's level , Walker would be in goal on Sunday

Nice look mate. For your info my dad passed away a few years back and was the best man I've ever known for a variety of reasons not related to football. You're a real gem.

I cant count the number of games I've been to since I started going regularly in about 1990. Cup finals and European finals. Including the abomination that was Arsenal in the league cup when they beat us 6-3.

Thanks for confirming all city fans are quite as sound as the ones I've met in work and know from childhood.

As I've said before I'd be a shite glory hunter. How much glory was there until about 2001?

I like gundy when we are controlling games but as soon as they run at him he disappears,he was one of the senior players yesterday,he needed to get a grip,i can't see any way rodders will be ready for this game,i can't see any option of controlling their counters that doesn't include dinho in the middle and trust nico and john,pep has to drum it into nico that he has to stay on his feet,it'll mostly be long balls and crosses he will have to deal with i reckon,he can do that

My dad died at 59 cancer , he supported his local club , he was born half a mile from Maine Rd and in his 50 years of supporting his local club probably witnessed half a dozen at most of trophy wins , he had the balls to support his local relatively unsuccessful football club, its scraping the barrel bringing you own fathers death into a post , but your a Dipper its only to be expected , you really are different gravy you Dippers. Your a real clown

Bookies have us favorites although we haven't won at Anfield in lifetime, got more injuries now than Liverpool probably had all last season, and not to mention they haven't lost at home in 2 seasons. Hmmm....think this is a game we just need to not lose with our current injuries.

It's a bit mad I have to admit. There's not a lot between the results with most bookies and thats reflected when you look at the score prediction odds.

It has a feel of a game with Chelsea against us under Benitez when we became competitive against them. You could play three games and have three different results. It'll be close either way if one team wins..and unless something drastic happens. I think it will be similar for a few years whenever we meet
