What about Jack Butland as the home grown keeper. If Stoke go down again they would be desperate to get rid and would only play Carabao Cup
I'm going to presume you haven't watched him at all for the past three seasons? What about Jack Butland as the home grown keeper. If Stoke go down again they would be desperate to get rid and would only play Carabao Cup
Contracts
We have 3 players who’s contracts are up at the end of the season.
David Silva, Fernandinho and Bravo.
Carson will be off after his loan expires too.
Merlin should not be replaced. Leave it to Bernardo, Foden and Gundogan to fill that gap which frees up a foreign spot. Fernandinho has been in talks for a new 1 year deal which I’d imagine both parties would jump at the chance to finalise.
The part that intrigues me the most is the situation with the keepers. Ederson will be our only senior goalie. We have Steffan and Muric out on loan but are they expected to come back and deputise?

Not sure he'll around much longer sadly. Once he reaches the stage when he can't play every week and with the family being here I think he'll be off. What about Sergio too? Could leave next summer also...(if it was to a non-European club)
Otamendi and Sane will be replaced in January I guess. So if Foden replaces Silva then there is no panic. Only back up GK left.

Absolutely. It'll be a big wrench though - as bad as Vk going and then some.agreed mate, and we can’t really begrudge him anything can we?

Ruben Dias linked, £56m release clause. If he wants to come, its the easiest transfer we have made. Bayern have been making noises about buying Sane in January. If Sane wants to leave, they will defo buy him in January.I don't see how Sane or Otto could leave in Jan myself, on the basis that Bayern will want to see Sane over a number of games to prove his fitness. If Otto leaves we would need a top class centre half to replace him which i think will be difficult in Jan

I'd love City to sign Chilwell. I suspect the centre back and midfield priorities will prevent it from happening but I think he'd be a massive upgrade on Mendy (certainly on his current showing).
Thats not really fair those were all made in different phases. Kompany was pre takeover. Silva and aguero were mancini signings and fern was a pellers signing. I do agree that we need to be ruthless again in the transfer market like we used to be.We need to get back to the level of transfer dealings when we got Kun, David ,Fern and Vinny. Not sure we can ever match that but we have made many signings that fall well short.
