always sounds strange when posh people swear in my experience ? Your bloke has F all in his locker apart from get brexit done ? Wasn't he once a remainer ?
Posh? Hahahaha. I come from a fucking terraced house in Hazel Grove, went to a fucking comprehensive and live on a fucking housing estate now you weapon.

Don't mess with the Mair

the sounds of the suburbs

The latter one does raise why so many vox pops are with leavers. So it's not just perception, does anyone know if any media watchers done any research into how many leaver / remainer vox pops are broadcast (which may of course be different from how many were interviewed)?

I suspect its because so many interviews are with remainers like him or JRM or Gove and so on. They agree to take calls and its like a red rag to a bull. When leavers are interviewed there is far less they can be pulled up or attacked upon - remaining wasn't a threat to Nissan in Sunderland staying or leaving for example - the lies about an EU army being around the corner are debunked and oddly enough the entire population of Turkey still refuse to move here.

a quick look on zoopla and terraced houses in Hazel Grove start at £145k and go to £425k - here in the Boro you can knock £100k off the lowest price and ex-council houses are in the £245k range - don't put yourself down mate compared to some you are landed gentry - you should open your house at weekends for the hoi polloi to look around and picnic in the gardens.................rope off the areas that are your living quarters of course............

Up late , weren't you ......no work to go to ?? You Cheshire lot eh ! Personally speaking I am getting a bit fed up of paying my hard earned towards the upkeep of your sort

I'm REALLY sure it isn't.

As a matter of interest my would-be money-splurging friend, how much extra income tax per week are you personally prepared to pay for all of these marvellous services? Let's hear a number in cold pound-notes terms. Give it your best shot. How much eh? Of YOUR money. Let's hear it. Put up, or shut up?

Nothing as labour do not intend to raise tax for earnings below £80,000 and freeze that for four years (virtually the length of the Parliament )

Income tax
  • Anyone earning more than £80,000-a-year will see their income tax rate hikes from 40p to 45p in the pound, documents released alongside the manifesto show
  • And anyone earning more the £123,000-a-year will pay a new 50p rate of tax
  • Nobody earning less than £80,000-a-year - which accounts for 95% of earners - will pay a penny more in tax under Labour plans, the manifesto states
  • These new taxes will raise £6.4bn

We've also ruled out raising VAT and NIC .

If you said those taxes raised £500bn to pay for spending then fair enough but they don't.

So where will the missing £495bn deficit come from to pay for the rest of Labour's spending?

What are we missing?.....

Yeah but what about the extra beema each year that the top 1% will lose out on?

Would Labour be in a better situaion if they declared themselves as a remain party and go directly head to head with the Tories?

No.... because that immediately alienates a large number of the electorate.

The Tories ignore the wishes of 16.8 million who voted remain ...... The Lib Dems ignore the wishes of the 17.4 million who voted leave. The Labour party are the only party attempting to find a solution that will bring both sides together.

Corbyn cant answer wether he would vote to Leave or Remain because Labour have not yet renegotiated an agreement with the Eu and in any event his personal view is not relevant. The decision will be made when we are told the truth about any new withdrawal agreement and how it would impact or remain.

Labour propose to 'Bring both sides together' with a fairy tale brilliant new deal, that involves staying with the single market
and customs union, in other words remain, then offering up this option in yet another referendum, versus remaining properly.
Then, after this spiffing wheeze, they intend to campaign vigorously against their first remain option, in favour of their second
remain option.
No fucking wonder they don't want to talk about Brexit.

So your answer is zero is it? You want billions more spent on pretty much everything and you want it for free.

Just so we know. How very noble of you.

By the way, anyone who thinks Labour's spending pledges can be delivered with - as they claim - nearly everyone not paying a bean more? Totally and utterly deluded.

It's almost worth seeing them win so you can experience first hand what an utter shit storm would ensue. Almost.

What a great leader Corbyn is. Taking a position and showing leadership with it, persuading people and bringing him along with him.

Fucking NOT.

Opportunistic chancer who will say and do anything for a vote. He's a wanker and a rumbled one at that. Look at the polls of how the public view the great man. They think he's a twat. His perpetual fence-sitting will be his downfall, thank God.

The Tories allege £500 billion .. so there are questions to be asked about that figure

You're missing the increase in

Corporation Tax which will make the UK tax level at 26%
.
Our corporation tax rate is one of the lowest in the OECD group of economically advanced countries. We have the lowest rate of corporation tax in the G7 group of leading nations. Even Labour’s increase to 26% would only put it slightly above the OECD average of 24%, and as the graph illustrates, it would be lower than any other current G7 rate. Anticipated take £19 billion

Focus on Tax Avoidance and Evasion.

Implement the Eu directive on Anti Tax avoidance in full. (This is the true reason for Brexit ). Labour have a 17 point Anti Tax avoidance plan.

https://www.thelondoneconomic.com/o...pending-anti-tax-avoidance-legislation/21/06/

Its thought that approx £25bill per annum is lost through uncollected Tax, Tax avoided and evaded. (source HMRC) But its thought the figure is closer to £120 billion (source Tax Justice & PCS) the difference is due to the 'sweetheart deals' done by HMRC which is why Google end up paying £36.4 million tax on turnover of £6.05 billion.

Reverse Capital Gains Tax cut given by the Tories

Taking Capital Gains tax back to the same level as it was before 2010 would raise £735 million.

Reverse Inheritance Tax Cut

Taking Inheritance tax back to 2010 levels would raise £1 billion

Robin Hood Tax on Financial institutions

A
nticipated £5 billion

Etc Etc

Typical answer .... I can only pay the Tax that Government asks me to pay. If the Government commits to no tax increase for earners under £80k I have to accept that.
