Var debate 2019/20

I have totally fallen out of love with football since the start of this season with all the corrupt VAR decisions. I don't go to games anymore (haven't done for years).
Virgin contract is up in Jan. and I have no intention of paying for BT or Sly sports to fund the corrupt premier league and their quite farcically corrupt VAR.
It's a sad state of affairs when it seems like we have regressed to 1980's East Germany when Herthe Berlin won the league there every year as Erich Honecker supported them and made all the refereeing decisions in their games.

can never turn my back on city and a little thing like VAR will not stop me watching city . but for watching other games and hoping the officials treat the game teams the same as when they are doing city games are gone. it so hard watching games like liverpool and united because its not being played with the same rule book and clear cheating is going on

today it final hit home that VAR is fully in control of the game and they will pick the team they want to win the league and even cups, its a sad day for football and any fairness and lady luck has gone from the game and you have to beat the system before you beat the team

100% , we need to do something , but what ?
Use your voices. Come up with some snappy jingle highlighting the misappropriation of VAR and sing it every time VAR is used. Sing it with your backs turned away from the pitch. Sing it with pride and loud. Corruption never sits well in the glare of publicity. People power is the only way to beat intransigence and corruption. The FA have a long history of always doing things the wrong way. It's time to show them that MCFC fans are unwilling to take the crap they're receiving. The broadcasters may seek to turn the mics off but once the fightback starts impartial fans will see the censorship and other fair minded fans will support us and hopefully join us. We're not the only club suffering from this aberration.
I can understand people's belief that ditching the season ticket is the only option but that, in my opinion, is akin to self-harm as it's not the guilty that are suffering but the club we all love.
It's time to re-invent the Poznan. Time to invoke the spirit of Lech Walesa.

I am afraid football is dead to me. The corruption and collusion is bad enough but not celebrating goals leaves me cold. Enjoy what you can fellow blues but I am calling it a day. 50 years through thick and thin. The stench of hypocrisy, lies and deceit of the powers that be is more than i can stomach.
The cuunts are getting exactly what they want, shaft us and fans like you stop going so we slowly fade away. I’m not blaming you because you are not a minority but comments like yours will be music to the ears of the PL, VAR and Uefa. FFP couldn’t stop us progressing but this will. Have you heard Dippers and Rags criticising? They will have the odd reverse but VAR is their friend, whereas we haven’t had a single decision in our favour.

Players & managers can stop this , they don’t give a fuck if all the fans stop going , we’re just background noise now .
How the fuck is it the players and managers getting any blame? the club went into bat for us last week on var and in writing about oliver, the result, they stiffed us again today, turning on the team is frankly ridiculous

Think you misunderstood me Karen , I wasn’t blaming them.

How can they stop it and why do you think they don't care?
Just re-read it , yes I phrased it wrong . What I meant to say was only when the managers & players start to use their influence will VAR get scrapped .
I meant the people who run football , fa , premier league etc don’t give a shit about the fans , apologies ...been a long day.

The big problem that I don’t think anyone has mentioned is that Hawkeye staff set up the offside reviews for the video assistant referee.

Hawkeye are just a business and their employee could be a lifelong supporter of a team involved in the match. No one would know.

We also know that depending on which frame is used for when the ball is kicked can make the difference between onside and offside.

So there are people at Stockley Park having direct influence on Premier League matches who aren’t match officials.

Ah right,as i say they tried last week and in return they gave us mariner on var and chalked off a goal, pep is livid as are the players but they won't scrap var so i don't know what else the managers and players can do/say without getting bans which is no help to anyone, all the fans can do is turn their backs on var reviews and sing you corrupt bastards and fuck var,not going so depriving the players of the support is no real answer, all for one and all that stuff

It was the Hawkeye system that wasn't working for our game at DIpperpool. Was it actually faulty or did somebody disable it on purpose?

Handing over hard earned cash to watch something that you believe is corrupt is not an easy thing to do .

File it under ‘harsh’. Hardly anything in it, obviously looks worse in slow-Mo but there is no way it would have ruled out if Liverpool had scored that at Anfield

I'm reading everywhere saying it was a terrible decision.

Then my mate - who is a dipper - said it was the right call. He's normally very fair when it comes to VAR and has admitted there are many flaws. I couldn't disagree or agree with him as I haven't seen it.

Once again, it sounds as if it is subjective depending on who it is for or at which ground it's at. In other words - do Liverpool benefit.

Hope all those righteous VAR fans are happy they got what they wanted. It’s improved the game immeasurably by making it fairer

VAR at its very best , said at the start of the season that corners will be brilliant for VAR as there’s pushing & shoving at every corner but they’ll only spot what they want to spot as it proved at Palace today.
