Johnson slogan: "Let's get Brexit done"

Johnson reality:
“Leaving would cause at least some business uncertainty, while embroiling the Government for several years in a fiddly process of negotiating new arrangements, so diverting energy from the real problems of this country – low skills, low social mobility, low investment etc – that have nothing to do with Europe.” February 2016
Limbering up for a session on the blower Vic? All true of course but a message obscured by allowing Corbyn's mindless absurdities to become the focus of the election debate. I thought today was supposed to be about mass tree planting anyway - that should go down well in Sheffield where the Labour council having been ripping out most of their beautiful mature trees around the city for years at the behest of the local authority employed leaf sweepers. Trademark socialist care for the planet - zero interest until an election - an absolutely shocking record on protection of the natural environment and urban tree renewal over the years.

270.000 trees a day planted is the new promise.

Its fucking ridiculous the things they are focusing on to try and win this election when it was always about brexit.

1st para. Jesus, no. i was pointing out the absurdity of your reductive metaphor. But yes, some do indeed act or like to sound 'endangered' whether they think it or not.

2nd para. not at all what i said. or think. my point is, plenty of shades inbetween.

3rd para. I agree tbf. Again not to the end degree, but certainly acknowledge the direction.

Well that was how it came across.

They do what they should have done all along and that is to back brexit and respect the result of the 2016 ref completely.

Labour leave voters where always going to say fuck you to a party sitting on the fence or even making noises of remaining and it looks like that is exactly the situation they are facing.

Too many believe their twitter feeds that everyone is now remain.

My arse they are!

But it’s very difficult for the Opposition to back a government policy when the government won’t share economic impact assessments with them. Maybe Labour would have backed it if they were involved in the talks initially

Keir Starmer is favourite to be next Labour leader which may give them some hope in 5 years time.

Mr Hancock didn't seem to dismiss said document this morning.

In fact, the more he argued the merit of it, the more the veracity of it was borne out. He had the clear opportunity to dismiss it as old.

He did not.

Interesting.

dismiss the document? The document exists that’s not in doubt.

what is in doubt ( or rather complete bullshit) is the claims that labour made that this document proves that we will pay to see a gp, pay to give birth, pay 5 times more from cancer drugs , we have sold the nhs to the states

it doesn’t say any of those things. It’s a complete lie. They waived this 500 page document around like they had discovered they had proof thinking people would not read it. Funnily enough people and journalists do.

I would be very concerned if the Tories had agreed to do any of the above and that would be an issue for me and many other voters . So please point to the page and paragraph of the document that confirms the Tories have done any of the above points.

You don't teach that something was bad.

You accurately teach the events that happened and allow the student to make up their own minds.

What the fook??

What part of learning 'his story' (history) in your school, did you learn about massacres of native people for the 'glory' of the empire?

If this was a fictional character in a black robe, you'd think he was pretty evil.

Sounds like a 'Star Wars' story doesn't it?

Christ, first time I've seen the polls for this election (which I've tried to take little interest as it's like trying to decide which mate gets to fuck your Mrs), looking like a landslide for the Tories. When will Labour remove that unelectable fucking Marxist?

The one time I really would ideally prefer no outright Tory majority or even anyone offering a second Ref and this happens. Typical.

well the penny has dropped now and suddenly they are changing tactic. Even Owen Jones has seen the light .

labour have finally realised in order to win the election , or to prevent the Tories getting an overall majority they would need to appeal to labour leave voters in their traditional heartland. A couple weeks ago they thought free broadband would do the trick.

totally ignored them for the last 3 years , dismissed their views and now with a couple of weeks to go they are back to the traditional voter with a PLEASE .

labour would walk this election had they listened to their voters rather than momentum.

Only idiot feminists try and relate 'history' to 'his story', it's etymology is from the Greek 'historia' meaning learning or knowing by inquiry and then the French version of that 'histoire' - narrative of past events, account, tale, story.

Fuck all to do with HIS or HERS.

Yeah pretty evil and somewhat impressive how a small maritime nation had 1/3rd of the land under their rule for so long without any sort of large army. But I don't think it was gloried at school.

I'm not voting for Corbyn, I believe him to be a liar and his handling of the anti-Semitism in his party has been disgraceful.

So instead I'm voting for someone I know to be a racist, homophobic, serial liar.

Sure Islamaphobia is a problem in the Tory party, but I'm more comfortable with that type of racism and yes they wont release the report on Russian interference but a few smelly students voted twice. I can overlook all that mainly because having a go at more left leaning policies that might work scares me more.

After 9 years of running the country into the ground the racist, homophobic serial liar has promised us this time it'll be different and who are we not to believe him.

Vote for Lib Dems or Greens? Are you mad?

BREXIT!!!!!!

I see, so there's a level of acceptable racism allowed if it gets you want you want?!!

Are you for or against Trump as a politician, can I ask...?

My guess is its too little, too late.

Labour voters are mostly remainers.

Why would voting Lib Dem’s or Green be mad?

I think he's a decent bloke but not sure he's charismatic enough. I know it shouldn't matter, but it does. He's more of an able deputy in my eyes, the voice of reason.
