so, religion is dangerous, not just Islam? You can’t stereotype a whole religion based on events in the Middle East.

Yes but different religions are more dangerous at different times and right now Islam is far and away in front.

And yes I can

he might be an intelligent bloke but I think he might be a labour communications officer .

Have you ever seen him talk or post about City on the threads ?
Mmmmmmmm
Something in that possibly ;-)

He bangs on relentlessly - presenting convenient opinions as if they are facts & 'pouts' when pulled up.

Sounds like a Labour supporter 'under cover'

Sounds exciting stuff - real detective stuff

I wonder - would investigation discover:

That the Dave brothers are BobK's other accounts? or

That Vic, Jay and others are unsuspecting workers doing the legwork as they canvass in their ignorance of the real objectives of this latter day Mandleson

Ok - I know this is just bollocks, but in my defence....

a) it is solid compared to some of the left-wing crap you read on here
b) Well I am just messing and
c) being 2 hours ahead I have had a few too many beers

It promotes hatred of homosexuals, non-muslims and subjugates women as objects and possessions of men, for a start.

Just like another equally horrid book. But the other one seems to get a pass for some reason.

You can dislike the religion and not dislike Muslims you know.

Same with any religion. Nobody is forced to accept a doctrine they disagree with on a moral level.

If that were the case every Christian could claim a grievance. We did away with blasphemy laws for a reason.

You can disagree with what they believe, but to say you don’t like a whole religion is a bit far. Disliking Islam is part of the definition of islamophobia. If you said you didn’t like gay people you would be homophobic.

Do you extend that view to the Chief Rabbi or is it just one religion you think is bollocks?

He’s an individual. We’re criticising the religion here.

And an individual that is absolutely correct about your man Mr Corbyn.

Judaism the religion is bollocks, as is Hinduism and Christianity.... AND... Islam.

I see, so there's a level of acceptable racism allowed if it gets you want you want?!!

Are you for or against Trump as a politician, can I ask...?

I find racism unacceptable, it would appear many don't.

For the record I don't believe Corbyn to be racist, I do think his handling of racism in his party has been pathetic.

I do believe Johnson to be racist and I think he doesn't care at all about handling the issue of racism in his party.

For people to vote Conservative over Lib Dem because of their Brexit position tells me they find that issue more important than racism and that is where the UK is right now.
It's not really a surprise as Tories have always been party before country. Just like their US Republican brethren, truth and morals go out the window for power, yet people still vote for them as they like soundbites not substance.

As for Trump I'm against him not only as a politician but as a human being.

No it's not. That's a ridiculously dumb thing to say. Being gay isn't a religion. Being Muslim is a choice, being gay isn't.

If I don't believe in a magic imaginary sky fairy and find the whole concept of what is necessary to subjugate oneself in worship of said sky fairy to be ludicrous, in what sense would I have any respect for any segment of the religion, especially one that promotes hatred of others in a book that is meant to be regarded as "perfect", "incorruptible" and "the absolute final word of the one true God"?

Hating MUSLIMS is the definition of Islamophobia, just as homophobia is the hatred of homosexuals. Hating the religion is not. The more conservative Muslims are trying to change the definition for it to mean hatred of the religion, but nowhere in the world (except maybe Saudi Arabia) is it considered taboo or immoral to voice opposition to a religion. That;'s why we're allowed to criticise Christianity and not be observed as "Christianophobes".

That clears that up then .....still no answers

I can say to the Chief Rabbi "I think your religion is a load of bollocks. But if you want to believe it, practice it and observe it, go ahead, you should feel free to do so without me stopping you. But I still think it's bollocks."And he could then cite my reasons for thinking so and we could have a debate on why I think what I do.

That's not anti-semitism. Anti-semitism would be to tell the Chief Rabbi "I hate you, I hate your religion and you should be stopped from being allowed to practice it".

This is like explaining it to children mate.

How these lot don’t understand the difference is fucking frightening and probably how antisemitism has swept across Labour.

If that is what they think constitutes being islamophobic, then why are they not attacking Labour with more fervour for it's antisemitism?

Because it's an agenda fueled narrative. If anything it exposes their hidden 'racism'?, 'prejudice'? Somewhere between the two. It's nasty and not in anyway helpful to the debate.

First step is the worst form of bucket-passing whataboutism as well.

“Your party is antisemitic” - journalist

“What about the Tories and Islamophobia?” - Labour

I hate the word Islamophobia too, they should have called it Muslimophobia or something similar.
