If you become a millionaire while in government there's something awfully shady going on. They are not payed that much. So all the people that come out of politics being a millionaire did so by taking money from someone and that's not supposed to happen.

Here's the flaw to your socialist thinking by soaking the rich for money and how it all backfires:
1. You raise taxes on the rich
2. The rich own stores, homes, shopping centers, apartment buildings etc....
3. Because the taxes go up for the rich, they raise the price of the homes, apartment buildings, things in the stores etc...
4. The little guy ends up paying the rich mans taxes because the rich raised the prices on the things he or she owns.

So who wins?????

Get used to President Trump, he's going to be here a while. There are a lot of socialist countries for you to live, so be gone.

Or, we stop letting billionaires hold us hostage and tell them to fuck themselves. It works in other countries and it will work here.

Doesn't surprise me. He actively told Biden not to run when he started.

That's why you saw Biden try to avoid using Obama in the beginning of his campaign.

Since then, though, he has invoked his name repeatedly, but I haven't heard anything of Obama reciprocating things back.

It may also be interpretable as suggesting Biden should only stay on for one term, as he's rumored to be considering, and as I would strongly advise too. It's also building a meta-case for Warren should she win.

I doubt -- highly -- Obama will endorse anyone except whomever is chosen as the nominee. There's absolutely nothing to gain by doing so before then. The best leverage of his voice will come when it's the nominee vs. Trump, not nominee A vs. nominee B.

Give as few excuses as possible for the other side to turn out in fear or anger, and for the undecided to vote against your candidate rather than for him/her.

I think Warren peaked too early and her moment in the sun has gone.

The fact that her 'plan for that' mantra has gone quiet speaks volumes about the problem she's in as she can't walk anything back now.

I mean, look at Harris when she did so and look at Buttigieg and his lauding of Sanders when he was in school!

Called him a great politician and now he opposes him!

That's gonna play well...

Either way - its depressing that the nomination process has been so predictable. It's 80% name recognition and 20% point scoring. You get the vibe that no one has stopped to think about how do they win the election.

Tell that to the thousands of grass root donors that have offered an avg of $18 and broken records to give to his campaign!

The "anyone" you spout about are the MSM who leave him out of the main articles about the Dem leaders talking about Clinton's return!

He's the most attacked politician by big donors.

He's second nationwide and most Dem voters second/ third pick, if not the first.

You keep on watching MSM for your news.

Completely missed the point as usual.
 
With any luck, the Democratic nominee for President in 2020 will be conservative.

Unfortunately, this may result in a Biden run... unfortunate in that Biden isn't a compelling candidate and is prone to frequent gaffs.

Yet, Biden might well prevail against Trump.

On the other hand, Warren/Sanders would, IMO, fail spectacularly.

Why?...

Because politics are massively polarized in the USA.

There's very, very little room for any candidate to swing the very small undecided vote one way or the other - and if a particular candidate is deemed to be too liberal... well, that candidate cannot possibly win election IMO.

Whatever transpires in 2020 - it's going to be incredibly close - Biden/Buttigieg/Klobuchar might prevail - other Democratic candidates will, I think, lose.
