Wolves - post match

This team is fucking awesome regardless of the scousers or the result tonight. But to not invest in anyone in January when it takes 6 months to get used to Peps way of playing is madness.

Mendy and Otamendi need released tomorrow. It’s like the rebirth of Demechelis when watching otamendi. Eric or Taylor against Sheffield United please. Have we got any left backs in the academy.

When you take the emotion out of the game, under the circumstances i thought we did very well. It was just too much in the end not helped by ourselves.

Mendy's game has picked up recently. He did OK tonight until the goal. Some good passing.
But Marvin, we signed a rampaging powerhouse who was not only strong and skilful, but quick as well with a variety of precision crosses. I see fleeting moments of good stuff from him but I never see him 'own' any opponent. Sadly, the injury has robbed the young man of his best stuff.

If we had Laporte in the side, Wolves would never have even bothered with the long balls at the start of the game. Everything stems from Laporte's injury and City's inability to find a solution to it.

You take any teams best centre half away and they will struggle.

We managed to lose our best centre half and the leader of our club.

Don't underestimate the void left by Vinnie in the dressing room and out on the pitch.

When the shit hit the fan and pep needed men, VInny always came back in the side.

Not good enough, because we're too nice. We have no leaders on the pitch and no bollocks off it to stop shit like Liverpool taking our scouts, or Arsenal taking a coach. We take shit from the media every day while we never defend ourselves or call any of these cûnts out. Football is a game for bastards and backstabbing twats and money-grabbing agents, and unless we're willing to man up and play them all at their own game, cheats like Liverpool will always prosper.

We have to start paying silly money to stop our rivals getting the best players if we want them, and have to pay bigger wages to key staff. We also need a confident PR team with proper nasty lawyers backing it up and fight every fucking bastard on or off the pitch that is in our way.

Fuck you klopp. Fuck you solkjaer. Fuck off wolves, media and fuck ffp.

Blowing out of his arse, mate.
Personally I’d have taken Sterling off and kept Kev up top to keep possession but their goals came from shocking play from us, not that substitution.
We fell apart after that substitution. Sterling, as much as I give him credit for the second goal was shocking at holding the ball up or making any intelligent, incisive runs. Hindsight is a bitch yeah, but my opinion that we’d have been better off with Kev on the pitch.

People on here blaming Mendy et al..let me remind you we played 80 plus minutes with 10 men because the GK who makes 1 save every 5 games fecked up again. Yep, Mr “great with his feet” but unfortunately crap at most other GK duties lost us that match end of.
So we didn't score 2 goals after ederson got sent off? Did ederson contribute directly to us conceding a goal? Do us a favour dude ...

I’m talking about this season, obviously. Teams know how to beat us, and they’re actually daring to do it. That, coupled with the fact that we have no plan b means we’re going to carry on this way.

don’t get me wrong, I love Pep, but something needs to change, and I’d love that thing to be a big tactical rethink and for Pep’s game to evolve.

Don’t keep shouting about what we won in the past, you sound like the dippers or utd. It’s about now, and currently we are very far behind of what’s in front of us.

Are you also dismissing the injury situation? The remaining fit players need a rest but can’t have one.
We’re only far behind what’s in front of us because we’re playing without key players & the 2 teams in front of us have had no significant injuries all season.

I can’t emphasise enough the knock on effect this is having. But some folk on here can’t deal with it.

Wolves are a cracking side and City had their best ever goal scorer subbed off and played without an attacker for nearly the whole game, with half of their squad missing and probably should have won if not for Traure having the game of his life. Not taking away Wolves winner being a great goal in itself. Take it on the chin and move on. I fucking hate the scouse ****s I'm fishing for any kind of positive I can right now, lol.
well you will fish for a while and catch nothing, bottom line is we are not functioning all be it even with 10 men,you can write this game off but the signs have been up for a while and ignored, our defence is bad and teams know if they can get some possesion they will put us on the rack and the chances are they will bang one or two in in the hope we score one less, our defence has been in question for a few seasons but pep was happy our possesion stats would out way a bad defence which it did, so like you have seen today we gave up possesion because a player was sent off and lost as a result of possesion and bad defence, whats peps next move i dont know it depends if he signs a contract extension,if not hes going through the motions so he may as well go now imo how can he rebuild when he's moving on in 12 months

And VAR?

All I want to know is what is going on with Adama? He is like a fucking rhino . Has he alway been like this?

He was a bull physically last season, and he always had that lightening pace from his time at Middlesbrough. This season his decision making, and general play has improved considerably, and he's now one of the best players in the league.
