Just go back and watch the Chelsea v Spurs game without VAR or the Rangers v Celtic final. Absolutely farcical the refs decisions. Luckily VAR was there to correct them.

I keep saying; what is lacking with VAR is something called common sense. Ask yourself 'is it something you would expect the officials to spot?'. If not, carry on. Spotting someone being offside by the thickness of a pencil is ludicrous. Quick check is all it needs not 5 minutes with a slide rule.

i reckon if Mendy went down the ref would have blew for a free kick. Instead he stood his ground and looked like he just got out muscled - could tell by Mendys reaction he knew he was at fault.

There was more physical contact by Traore on Mendy than there was by Ederson on Jota. The former leads to no foul, the latter to a red card. VAR is not to blame for that.
