The Labour Party

Polititians are as flawed as the rest of us and we cannot expect them to be angels. But, if they want our trust, they should not be so economical with the actualite.

Patently not true I’m afraid. People will put up with all sorts of morally corrupt behaviour if it suits their purposes.

An anti Semite is deplorable unless he puts more money into the NHS then he has just been misrepresented. A vacuous liar cannot be trusted unless he keeps more money in your wallet, then he’s a lovable rogue. Too many voters literally don’t care but lack the balls to admit it. The depths some have sunk to support their guy tells us all we need to know. Cunts vote for other cunts.

Yet you happily gave your vote to a party led by someone sacked for lying more than once and who told demonstrable lies during the election campaign. People in glass houses.....
Would that be an example of 'whataboutery'?

No issue to me - but I have heard that some posters on here get really pissed at people that do that

The TUC say the new Labour leader must be credible, competent & popular.

They are fucked already as not one of them fits the bill.
I think that you misread the quote - it was more likely:

".....the new Labour leader must be credible, competent & popular - with TUC leaders."

Oh, you're a cynic, but you could be right.

I sigh every single time I read this.
No need mate. Johnson is going to be an excellent PM - just watch.

Minimum wage getting it's biggest increase ever in April. Economy surging on the back of renewed confidence. Massive increases in NHS resources. Good times ahead!

Corbyn mans the barracades. Join Jeremy, Citizen Smith, and the children on the front line. To the revolution!

Laughable, isn’t it?

Cue loads of marches with middle class clowns holding Socialist Worker placards saying ‘Smash The Fascist Tory State’ and other complete bollocks.

The schoolboy / girl Left can’t comprehend what ordinary voters are really interested in.

They are directly responsible for engineering the conditions that will reduce the Labour Party to a marginalised protest group - and they will therefore have a perfect vehicle for their whingeing - aka protesting.

"Will reduce"? I think you mean "have reduced"!

I should also add pinsent masons was only formed in 2004 by the merger of pinsent Curtis and masons ? They were separate firms in 2003

this is all very odd

Putative statement from someone at PM in that article.

According to that article, she apparently worked at Halliwells too, which I expect she’s less likely to want to advertise. They went pop in 2010, not 2007 though. Outrageous that not a single partner was prosecuted. Someone will have been bang to fucking rights. Reverse premium ffs. Gratuitously aggressive firm too. The world is a better place without them. Fucking scum cunts.

Laughable it certainly is, Corbyn's message to the people was completely devoid of any cognisance of reality, a metaphorical
cry to man the barricades against the evil entity he is driven to destroy. He typifies the political fanatic, has no empathy
whatsoever, and has/is leading his party to oblivion. The replacement, whenever Labour's ludicrous discussions, meetings,
NEC approvals, and sundry other pointless talking shops have finished and he drags his carcass back to the back benches,
is looking like him in a frock, which will only serve to accelerate the demise.

she has done very well for herself , agree about Halliwells

its good to see her do well given she is from Manchester , I know very little about her though.

However looking at the abuse Corbyn, May Swinson and Johnson have had over recent years why would anyone want to put themselves or their families through that in this toxic environment we now live in.

Your point about it being devoid of reality is spot on. It is meaningless drivel that might go down well in the revolutionary hotspot of Putney (the new Tooting) and with Lilly Allen, Stormzy and so on but what does it actually say to voters?

The narrative from Corbyn & his apologists is that his policies were hugely popular but he was undone by Brexit & a hostile media. As a Conservative I'm delighted to hear all this bollocks but if you are a traditional Labour supporter you must be in a state of disbelief.

Not disbelief - we believe we know what damage has been done to the Labour Party and those responsible for it

Fully agree with the last paragraph. I very much doubt the labour membership belives on mass the BS line that Corbyns was not the problem. The question is how many do and do these idiots have enough to swing the leadership race

Indeed, there has, since the election, a few, quite frankly ridiculous, claims that Labour's manifesto was brilliant,
but a little too much so, which meant not everyone was on board with it. This yet again, misreads the electorate, and assumes
everyone thinks it was, and it was just Brexit that did for them, they still think people are stupid, they're not, they saw through
the fairytale giveaways and pie in the sky policies and the politics of envy, and gave them the finger.

The excuse I keep hearing is that Labour's Manifesto was popular and gained majority support, it just had the wrong leader spreading that message.

So Labour's game plan is keep the messages and manifesto policies, remove the divisive leader and they'll ride their new strategy to No.10.

We'll see how well that works...
