If good folk (as I largely believe Remainers to be) are prepared to ideologicaly get into bed with the far right, then yes. In practice though I still have enough faith in the common memory of events in the 20th century and decency (for want of a better word) to prevent 1930's Germany repeating itself in my lifetime. I realise I'm not a particularly bright bloke, but it may be that my limited powers of expression lead you to believe that I'm a wum or an idiot just because you don't agree with me.
We've already established you are on the wind up and are trying to make a ridiculous point. No point repeating yourself again and again.

Pity that line hasn't been around the last 3 years on here.
Double-standards or what!!!

How many times have we posted pointing out that the Remainers on here are bang out of order by their continuous demeaning of Leavers by associating them to any and all sorts of unpalatable people and organisations - and what action did the Remainers take - just more of the same and just stating that any Leavers objecting were mard-arses etc.

So - I cannot see much difference here - indeed the point being made here has far more substance to it than many examples used by the Remainers

Remainers - are they the new mard-arses?

Yes, it has, and it's utterly amazing, although with this serial protester still polluting their hierarchy I suppose we
shouldn't be surprised. What on earth is the point of wasting everyone's time with crap like this FFS?

Two things why they got smashed

Corbyn - still in charge
Brexit - still in denial.

you cannot help those who do not want to be helped.

The only thing we've established is that remainers now find themselves so desperate that they are clutching at the straws of far right European politics. No one is asking you to change your mind over the EU, but once you find yourselves repeating the mantra of the afd, and Le Pen then it's possibly time to reevaluate your assumed moral high ground.

Fair play to your persistence with this twaddle. Top wummery.

Don't be fucking stupid.
The only way that you can say that Remainers are repeating the mantra of the AfD is if you're a WUM.
All the AfD and the other fascists have done is change their stance from wanting to leave the EU to wanting to change EU structures to make it become effectively the Fourth Reich.
Pretending that Remainers are aligning themselves with that is just ridiculous and you know it.

Kudos for making a post distancing a pro EU stance from Nazis whilst saying they want to make it the fourth Reich.

Tbh I see the link between Remainers and the far right as similar to the link between corbyn and anti-Semitism. No one is actually accusing corbyn of being anti-Semitic or 'doing anything' to Jews, it's rather the ideological company he keeps. Same with Remainers, although it now seems that thankfully the inflammatory posts about immigrants /foreigners and 'taking control ' have calmed down a bit. This would suggest that remainers as I believe are essentially decent folk who are capable of self-reflection once they realise they have been led up the garden path of xenophobia.

It seems the penny is slowly dropping, and the truth hurts

Very good. At least you're consistent.

In 28 days at midnight on January 31st the UK will leave the EU. Although we will still be in a transition period for the following 11 months this is strictly a temporary phase and we will not be an EU member.

This is a hugely momentous moment for me and it's one I thought I'd never see. We joined what was then the Common Market in 1973 but only had a referendum on membership in 1975, which shows you how rigged it all was from the very beginning. I was 21 in 1975 and voted to leave but obviously (by design) there was never any chance we would leave a mere two years after joining. I then saw decades of increasing federalism and a huge erosion of national sovereignty as the Common Market became the European Union. Even though the UK has been the second largest net contributor to the EU budget from day one we never really have had much influence as it always has been run by, and for the benefit of, Germany & France.

National vetoes were replaced by qualified majority voting, the European Parliament was given increased powers as was the ECJ. If ever there was some sort of popular vote against any aspect of ever closer union there would be more until the 'right' result was obtained. The main tactic, however, was not to allow ordinary voters a say on this for fear of them rejecting the monstrosity the EU had become.

Finally, the EU will be consigned to the dustbin of British history and I couldn't be happier. Regardless of any economic consequences (which I believe will be short lived and manageable) the prize is that the UK will be a fully independent nation once more. We can have friendly and close relations with our European neighbours and we still will be the second largest NATO member after the US, providing security for all of Europe.

The countdown has started.

We are an independant nation not beein invaded or occupied for centuries we are leaving a trading block, not the continent and not an occupying force.

Independance day?? What a load of shite.

Countdown to new relationships with our continental allies would be a more accurate title

Clearly you don't agree with my sentiments...I couldn't care less.

Why does a trading bloc need a Parliament, Supreme Court & unlimited movement within it?

Your sentiments are yours and I am fine with that.

But the term independence day is ridiculous, we are independant and always have been, but we signed up to rules and regulations in a joint trading block

A trading block needs some kind of core governance and rules which is what is there, didn't stop up making our own laws, but did restrict us to economic rules which involved certain laws on trading, workers and peoples rights and safety.
