Why does a trading bloc need a Parliament, Supreme Court & unlimited movement within it?

to legislate in the interests of member states?

For things like 'human rights' for example?

You can try to present the EU as a trading bloc as much as you want...have you somehow missed the 'ever closer union' mantra over the last few decades?

In the current world climate I think Europe needs to be more united than ever. Our enemies try to divide us as they know how strong Europe is, so I won't be celebrating anything I just hope after Brexit we still form very close ties to our brothers and sisters as we need them.
