We're leaving? I thought remain won
Most of us who want to leave and those level headed remainers who respected the result don't want to see us "crash out", but to leave amicably with a deal that safeguards jobs and trade, and ends all political aspects and 'membership'.i hope we crash out now with no deal. then let the brexitiers own it (though if its chaos it will be someone elses fault no doubt)
its not independance, its, as others have said, leaving a trading block
Oh I dont know.
Had we been revoking on the 31st my guess is we would have several threads on it rejoicing so this one thread on what is a momentous day isn't too much imo.
Is that your best guess?
I assume this will be your last contribution to it then?
This thread is to articulate why I and many Leavers are delighted to shortly be a former member of the EU.
Based on the triumphalist posts of the last 3 years every time the government was defeated from many id say its a well educated one.
In the modern world, the notion of national sovereignty is an illusion wrapped in a lie.
Brexit giveth, and Brexit taketh away.A day off work though, chin chin
This isn't meant as a Leave triumphant post but as an indication of what leaving the EU means to me.
If someone wants to create a counter-thread saying why they are devastated because the UK is leaving the EU then fair enough.

Come on there must be a little haha in your thread creation, subconsciously of course:-)
Oh no...I've been merged by the Remain establishment :)
Leaving the Brexit thread wasn’t as simple as you thought then?
There's been plenty of that.
It's an expression of what I think about the EU.
Take it or leave it..
