its not independance, its, as others have said, leaving a trading block

Most of us who want to leave and those level headed remainers who respected the result don't want to see us "crash out", but to leave amicably with a deal that safeguards jobs and trade, and ends all political aspects and 'membership'.

Why would you gleefully wish such hardships of "chaos" on an entire people? So you can shout "i told you so"? That sounds exceptionally petty and childish. Canada trades with the EU but is independent of it. The UK was not independent of the EU, it was an EU member. Soon it will not be.

Had we been revoking on the 31st my guess is we would have several threads on it rejoicing so this one thread on what is a momentous day isn't too much imo.

This thread is to articulate why I and many Leavers are delighted to shortly be a former member of the EU.

I’m a leaver fella but I would be careful because I think the last laugh will be on us. If there were only needed threads and posts without any anal repetition then the politics forum would be a much quieter place. I like the general hypocrisy of posters when it comes to moaning about threads and posts of others. Self awareness is never strong in opinionated folk.
