I do agree with your general argument. You can't cater for all football fans but for 99% of football fans the priority is the PL and then the CL and I am sure it is the same with City and the players.

I think it’s slightly small minded to think that everyone thinks the same or has the same opinion. I didn’t think this opinion would be so out there.
My priorities remain as above. Of course I’d love to win the CL, as any trophy, but there are three trophies I’d prefer to win in front of it. Just my preference is all.

I was there as a spotty 13 year old watching us get kicked all over the pitch.Well I was at the Spurs second leg in the CL last year and Liverpool the year before and I can tell you there was so much passion in the stadium those nights, especially Spurs last year.. one of the best atmospheres ( at The Etihad) that I can remember for a long time. I think the ticket prices reflect the opposition, does Real Madrid justify a £10 or so premium compared to Everton in the Premier League ? PS best ever European atmosphere I remember City v Juventus Main Road 1976 , think we won , Brian Kidd scored , anyone else there?
