It was along the lines of......."leave voters are a bit thick and feel that by voting for and demanding brexit they are finally winning in life"

It then went on to say that remain voters will ultimately be proven right.

Vic loved it.
I supposed like the proverbial stopped clock, if you keep predicting doom and gloom long enough you eventually get to be right.

Fuck - what a strange view to hold - she is more important than you - WTF??!!

And the reason - she has a broadcast - fuck if that is the measure...….

Remember all the "doffs cap" posts as they insisted we are all somehow subservient?

The thing about being proved right or wrong is that requires some measures - ie if this happens it was right, if that happens, it was wrong- to be stated in advance. But leavers and remainers will not agree those measures. Whatever happens, both sides will claim victory, justification etc. The gov is never going to say sorry we got it all wrong, they will proclaim a triumph. So why bother? Just get on with maximising the deal.

I agree with your posts mate.

The only relevant point is the country voted to leave the EU and leave we must do. We make mistakes as an electorate but they are ours to make and we have the ability to change things if we feel its needed.

Right or wrong doesnt come into it, only the future will decide and right now, its in all our interests to get it done and maximise our future potential which im certain we will do.

I expect that any and every item of bad news of any sort across the globe over the coming years will be posted as a link by @Ifwecouldjust....... followed by a statement from @Len Rum that Leavers should just fucking own it and @Vic commenting that this wasn't what was said in the 2016 campaign.

Unfortunately, it seems that we will be having to do without @BobKowalski explaining how the EU - being a rules-based organisation - would have prevented the incident occurring if we had only Remained.

Is it a general view amongst Brexit supporters that if it goes well they were right all along and if it goes wrong it’s Corbyn’s fault? Or is that just a fringe view by one vocal poster?

You missed out the most infamous, oft repeated quote...

Right and wrong are just opinions. Whether the result is good or bad rests on outcomes which we can only guess at now (or at least try to calculate). It makes more sense to treat Brexit as a fait accomplit and suggest ways to maximise the benefits and minimise the downside rather than, as you did, agonise about the quality of sovereignty. I spent three years working in Europe on the banking directives and my experience was that our EU partners were focussed on 'the big project' (ie united europe). Since we have exited from that, our best course is to focus on the practical, rather than the philosophical.
Are you sure you're right about that?

Well ok. No one is unimportant. All are created equal.

In a democratic vote that's exactly how it is.

My vote is no more important than yours and her opinion is no mare valid than anyone else's.

You might agree with hers but it doesnt make it right.

That's neither what she said nor what I reported. You'd have to be thick or dishonest to think that.
