In years to come , when people start to ask ..’so what changes has Brexit actually made ?’
they can always say ‘well, we rang some church bells on Brexit day’
Brexit passed last year .... only this time the Tories have removed workers rights
and the rights of British young people to take advantage of educational opportunities abroad
and the rights of unaccompanied child refugees to be reunited with their families
I know what you are thinking...………...Our system of democracy has given us a Brexit that most people in Britain never wanted or asked for. Just saying.
But - clearly the point that you are missingEh? Clearly not the point I'm making.
Pleased to hear it - you seem to be a proper miserable at the moment.yet more fake fucking news - I am going to enjoy the next few years as Brexiteers defend how " freedom" has justified economic losses. ( spoiler alert - most who advocated "freedom" will not suffer losses anything like the general populace that they persuaded will suffer. The Project Fear campaign will largely become the truth because despite how people have become sick of them experts are called experts for a reason.

If there is a successful outcome to the negotiations I would expect there to be a number of agreements fleshed out over years following the 'initial agreement' that establishes a 'framework'.Barnier is not wrong though. Aside from trade, we have all of the ‘internal wiring’ that needs to be ‘rewired’ Prior to 31/12. You would have hoped that there are solutions in place for some aspects already as part of the no deal planning that has already taken place but the work to unpick decades of infrastructure is going to be substantial. It is interesting to see some of the posturing already around our favourite subject fishing! Who was it on the U.K. side that suggested that trade agreement could be carried out seperately from access agreement. That’s interesting in a scenario where we import what we eat and export what we catch. The U.K. side will persist with that and see how far they can get before they need to use access as a bargaining chip. The EU will want it introduced from the first day of negotiation.
Are you in denial that some things are right and some wrong? Have we done Brexit without knowing whether it's right? The answer is in your post. You are not "right". There is no right or wrong here, but you seem to think there is.
She's more important than you or me. I don't recall your broadcast.Shriver doesnt speak for me, you are anyone else for that matter.
She speaks only for herself and she is no more important than anyone else in this country.
You like her view because she does what you have always done and that is try to make out the other side as some group of losers who have nothing other than a win in brexit.
Its utter bullshit Vic.
Seems like a fair comparison

I don't even know who you think she thinks is "the other side" to her view. But then your sentence is incomprehensible.

Right and wrong are just opinions. Whether the result is good or bad rests on outcomes which we can only guess at now (or at least try to calculate). It makes more sense to treat Brexit as a fait accomplit and suggest ways to maximise the benefits and minimise the downside rather than, as you did, agonise about the quality of sovereignty. I spent three years working in Europe on the banking directives and my experience was that our EU partners were focussed on 'the big project' (ie united europe). Since we have exited from that, our best course is to focus on the practical, rather than the philosophical. Are you in denial that some things are right and some wrong? Have we done Brexit without knowing whether it's right?
