Certainly that is Peter Robinson’s version and by extension, I presume, the club’s. Nowhere in that article does it acknowledge the causal link between the tragedy and the truculence of a significant number of Liverpool fans. I know a little about this event and some of the points he raises are worthwhile, in terms of ticketing and the state of the stadium, both of which were below-par by the standards of the time; however, for me, that is all lost in a fog of denial.

I wonder what the purpose of that article was, when it was published in 2013. I’ll wager the club will have been behind it.

Everyone’s fault but theirs

I can’t answer your first question with any certainty, but he seems the calculating type and wouldn’t be the first person to think in this way. Far from it.

Without doubt. I’ve previously posted about believing the club were behind it.

The article read very cold and calculating to me.
The article made me feel very cold. Ican only compare t.v. footage of Heysel and Hillsborough and chaos reigned on both occasions. I assume the club solicitor was there as a fan. I cant see any reason to take him to a match in his professional capacity
So the two of them waking around a crime scene is s bit weird.

Show me a scouser with these qualities and I will show you an Evertonian or a Tranny. Prolonged exposure to the cult of Livarpool does that to people.
Its a very wide encompassing cult. It seems that the blaming of Chelsea fans did not come from the terraces but also a much higher level

VAR and the officials boning up on the plan of how to award the scousers 3 points, they'll win because they wont be allowed to lose. I hope the chosen one makes the headlines burying the officials and the dippers in equal measure.
That's the thing about this game. Spurs win. It's all about Jose. Liverpool win. Jose will make sure it all about him by doing something like kneecapping Van Dick at full time.

I’ll always resist any attempt to conflate Heysel and Hillsborough. Totally different situations.

The song always the victims, never their fault might be distasteful but its entirely correct when it comes to them and their attitudes.

I used to live with a Welsh, girl she was always the victim and never her fault, I used to say to her "are you sure you're Welsh and not a scouser",, turns out, she was born in St Helens pmsl.

That article by Robinson left me feeling disgusted. It's literally 'never our fault' blaming anybody but their own part, especially the mystery Cockneys.

I find it strange that he happened to have tje club solicitor with him in the aftermath. Any ideas, Gordon?

Once a victim always a fking victim
He couldn’t do anything and then he went on his way.

“It was out of hand, out of control
No mention off the running battles .hey Peter.
Your fans caused it not southern/ cockney NF
Well when you see your maker lets see what he fking thinks
“Then we heard a crack when the wall came down. We were just 50 yards

If we think little things have gone their way-they have had only 20 yellows compared with, say us, who have had 39 combined with a high level of possession which must make us the dirtiest team in the league.

The only team close to them in yellows is Leicester.

Just watching them against THFC, they have had 2 yellows in the 1st half but have got away with 2 more that, had it been any team other than LivARpool would have been yellows. They also got away with a wrong call on the throw-in that lead directly to their goal. In a game that is fine margins at the top this sort of stuff is absolutely key.

Tactical fouls, too. Not that it got mentioned

A totally different set of rules than the ones we have to play by. A title Tainted beyond belief

Spurs arn't even trying. Typical Mourinho, he says he's a new man and new coach, he sure is, only he's worse than he's ever been. Got to to give it dippers though, they have the look of proper champions. They are the complete team.
