Jesus is very unlucky not to start more games. Aguero is a better finisher perhaps, but Jesus has a fantastic all round game. Perhaps they are due a run together?

The team needs a slight rebuild, once that is done then Pep can be judged if he is the man to take us forward, not before.

For all the doubters I would be very interested who they think can do a better job, they probably want Mancini back...

Has anybody seriously demanded Pep’s head or are they pointing out the obvious: that there are clear flaws and he’s not above questioning?

Please show me two posts saying Pep out.

Some the criticism is a reaction to the fanboy garbage from certain corners.

Classic bluemoon, you're a fan boy if you defend our manager from nonsense. Those poster on here who know my history will tell you I was a big critic of both Pellegrini and Mancini when things needed to change, I ain't no fanboy or biggest blue ever...

As for Pep out, there was plenty suggesting we change manager, he's taken us as far as he can etc yesterday. Try the search function as I can't be arsed wasting any more energy on the topic.

Reading this has made me feel a bit better.
The one nagging feeling I can’t shake off is the fact that unless it’s mathematically impossible, the league could still be done.

I know I should come to terms with it, but I can’t let it go.
The dippers surely can’t keep going at roadrunner speed in the next few months..surely?
If it was anybody else (apart from the rags) I wouldn’t let it get to me.
I suppose it’s the media love-in, the self entitlement, the ‘cannot do anything wrong’ bullshit, the cheating, the var decisions, the bent refs......etc.
I just hope (like you said) they drop serious points & not beat our record, starting today (I feel dirty saying that!).

I agree with pretty much everything you've said.
My point of reference though is the 2 CL semi final games I watched with interest as we knew Pep was one day going to be our manager.

The Bayern team on paper in both games was formidable. However on the pitch it was a shambles.

He does change his system - see games at Man Utd and Liverpool

In one post you state Pep has "credit in the bank for what he's done the last 3 seasons" but then go onto to say "Loyalty doesn't come into it I'm afraid". I completely disagree, he's earned that loyalty based on the 3 season, maybe 4 as we don't know how this season will play out.

I repeat what I said earlier, where were all the doubters when we hammered the Rags and Villa? Probably blowing smoke up Pep's arse...
 
Thought overall we played OK, bit too slow certainly first half and tried to be a bit too intricate in and around their box.
Defensively we are just too soft and managed to concede 2 goals from situations resulting in 1 shot on target.
My thoughts are why wasn't Walker playing, he had that diving twat in his pocket at their place and no way does their second get scored with him 1 on 1 there. Why did we not play keep ball after we scored what should have been the winner, hence why the fuck does Cancello go flying forward leaving his man in space in the dying moments. Palace deserved fuck all, I don't believe those kind of set ups deserve anything but narrow defeats, but it was our fault that they didn't get what they deserved. The league is gone anyway but worryingly, play against Madrid like that at the back and it will be carnage.
 
Pep was fallible for yesterday’s draw.

With the possible exception of Walker for Cancelo (to counter their biggest threat), we should have gone into the game unchanged.

Mahrez can be frustrating at times but he’s in excellent form at the moment. He posed a greater threat than the likes of Sterling and Bernardo despite featuring for just 20 minutes.
 
Conceding late goals most games now and they are starting to cost us.

Getting caught on the break without an attempted challenge in the 90th min was shocking, Stones had a good view without wanting to get too close.

Pep's philosophy is all risk and reward. However, when up against Barca a few years ago, he modified things and it didn't come off. As for the Liverpool front three - Salah's coming up to 28 but has only been scoring a significant number of goals since 2017. Sergio is a better striker than the Liverpool front three, Kane the lot. You judge a striker by the number of goals they score in a top team - it's a level playing field. Jesus near enough scores one in two.
 
I remember reading 5 or 6 years ago that Sergio planned to return to Barca at the age of 31. He probably didn't believe that at 31 he would still be improving his all round game under the greatest coach in the world and scoring more regularly than anyone in Prem history. A leaky defence can be fixed.
 
Long goal kick why? We’ve played out from the back against much better sides and retained the ball. We lose the header, we lose the 50/50, Stones then let’s Zaha run instead of taking him out and accepting the yellow card. Frustrating.
 
I'm afraid we've never been the best at game-management / killing-off a game. Frustrating.

Two thoughts on future team selection;

1) Pep really can't justify picking Sterling over Mahrez on current form,

2) Pep has only started Sergio & Jesus together 11 times ... but in those 11 games we scored 40 times.
