What? I don't have to listen to Sky, I just have to look at the table. If one team is winning all the games (even if they're "scraping by") and the other isn't... how are they not better? Imagine if someone was making that argument against City.
While the league is the most important table it does not necessarily tell you who the best is.
Who is top of the goal scoring charts, shots on target ,shots off target possession, passing, ball in the opponents box, shots conceded, goals conceded, not all these are City but most are, and they have been managed without FA support.last season in all competitions all those were City`s yet liverpool count themselves the best.
There are a lot more tables as well, up until game 12 City had committed more fouls than any team in the league an average of 1 per ,2,1/2 minutes as it is hard to foul while your in possession so this is while the opposition has the ball expect liverpool to be close? not a chance, City also topped the bookings league with a booking every 3rd foul, filthy team City are they not?

Sorry , but I am not having that.
Yes , they have had more than a slice of luck and a couple of assists here and there however , they will be more than worthy winners of the league this year.

Still, we will kick there sorry little arses into next fuckin season in April.
And a couple of assists? where was the Tottenham throw in? my you do not have to go back far to find the couple of assists, SKY ran a lovely afternoon debate on the foul of the goalie, expect a rule change soon

This isn’t the place to discuss, but not sure where to place it.

For those who say there isn’t an agenda, or should I say, an agenda against this great city team:

city coasting the league by 10 points - one team league, no competition, no excitement.

livarpool ahead by 16 points - not a word mentioned.

———————————

City beat a lower league team by 5 goals - No respect for the other team, how dare they.

Rags put 6 past Tranmere - not a word, well done, Oli at the wheel.

———————————-

Those who think this is normal, aren’t normal.

Klopp has said he won’t be there for the replay! Whilst he has a bit of a point about the winter break issue he’s definitely spat his dummy. Play a decent team in the first place and you wouldn’t have this issue. Rest players in the league if need be, they’re not gonna lose that
I sometimes think it’s a bit mardy when our fans say “imagine if we did this” about certain things but in this case I think it’s very true. There would be absolute outrage in the media if Guardiola said that. Be interesting to see how it’s reported tomorrow.

You mean "...if it's reported tomorrow" not how.

It's completely normal for human beings to be incapable of objective and reasoned thought, especially when money and/or football allegiances are involved.

Agree that some of the disparities in reporting are ridiculous, but on the examples you mentioned it was one or two journalists saying it (and were rightly pulled up on social media by City fans for it). It wasn’t really that widespread.

Some people are ridiculous on here. They moan about double standards in the media etc, then display double standards themselves and don’t see why they sound absurd. We all know they have had plenty of luck, we all know VAR has helped them on numerous occasions but we really ought to also realise that even taking all that into account, they have been better than us this season. But we will be back. Too early to say whether we’ll win it next year, I’d have to see who we both sign and let go, but we’ll be back sooner rather than later.
What is ridiculous is getting punched in the gob and blaming yourself for running into a fist, luck is dropping points at Norwich and Newcastle despite out playing them it is not Tottenham fouling a city player in the box and getting away with it even with VAR, liverpool have not been better at anything this season without the FA`s blessing, just because we are not playing to our own standards does not mean others are better

Ok call me thick but why wont klopp be there or play the first team. That is really showing disrespect to Shrewsbury.
Klopp quoted a letter sent to managers warning them not to organise friendly fixtures during the winter break. Klopp said he’d been true to his word and won’t play any fixtures so due to this replay he now has to. He said no first teamers will play in the replay. The reporter said “does that include you” and he said “yes”

Confused the replay isnt a friendly klopp is a knob...

I respect your opinion Ric but a few rogue journos spread muck and the masses lap it up.

Was it ever mentioned or mooted non MOTD?

If our standards are not as high as another team’s then it kind of does mean they are currently better. Despite the luck, it’s a weird argument to say we are better than them right now when they have 94 points from the last 96 available. It’s like people have forgotten that other teams are actually allowed to be better than us. I don’t think VAR accounts for a 16 point difference. Part of the difference, yes. But not all of it. We just have to fix our weaknesses and come back stronger. Which with our owner I’m sure we will.
